Try telling Kane, Sterling etc to stay at home. They won't. Or any player chosen for their Country. Why on earth should Cabango and Roberts?

I can’t imagine Roberts getting no rest will be our problem... Hopefully Cabango will stay with us.
| Wales squad announcement on 21:29 - May 30 with 1627 views | trampie | No Tom Lawrence, I'm surprised at that, also I would have gone for Sheehan & Johnson (both involved in play offs) before Levitt and Colwill, perhaps because those involved in the play offs were at a disadvantage compared to those in camp out in Portugal. Robson - Kanu, Vokes, Lockyer, Chester also not selected. | |

| Wales squad announcement on 21:55 - May 30 with 1568 views | trampie | Welsh coaches must be impressed by Colwill , they are probably doing a Walcott and taking him for the experience, I would expect him to have some minutes versus Albania, we can't play him away to France can we ? I'm expecting Wales to lose all 3 Euro ties, simply because our draw is tough and the traveling 2-0 to both Turkey and Italy (in Rome) and 1-0 against Switzerland, probably lose by 3 or 4 away to France, expecting a mix and match team against the French and then beat Albania 1-0 or draw 0-0 with our reserves against their first team. Wales have excellent in recent times but the order of the friendlies and the tough draw and travelling in the Euros and I'm not expecting much at all to be honest. | |

| Wales squad announcement on 22:48 - May 30 with 1500 views | jasper_T | Colwill was head and shoulders the best player on the pitch when our u23s played theirs in January. Surprised how quickly he's emerged since but the quality was there for anyone to see. I didn't know the name and assumed it was a senior player dropping down for fitness at first, never guessed he was still 18. Gunter still getting callups. Not even the best Welsh right back at his club let alone League One. | | | |

Levitt is only 20 and good enough to still be on the books at Manchester United. This sort of thing counts. Only the very best join the national team at 19 and stand out immediately. Ben Woodburn did this and is about the same age. He is staying at home. Tyler Roberts stats do not look great but one of the great football brains seems to like him. Again only 22. Some flowers take a time to bloom. Good gardeners know this. I was massively impressesd a second string Wales got their first ever win over the mighty Mexico in a match both teams took very seriously. [Post edited 31 May 2021 12:53]

If Colwill warranted a call up then there are plenty of others to fill Gunter’s boots, maybe he has ear of Giggs and Page, like the dressing room grass or something.

Gunter is a Welsh great. Limited ablity perhaps but huge committment and heart. He led the Welsh team to a win over Mexico which was a refreshingly fiesty affair for a friendly. Mexico did not take kindly to getting beat for sure. I was impressed after seeing some depressing Wales fiendlies over the years with half hearted efforts. Not with Gunter as captain. Welsh 'stiffs' beating a strong much more talented Mexico team.! Wales must have total commitment. Off the three curfew musketteers Robson Kanu and Matondo did not make it. Tyler Roberts just scrapped on the plane.

You are a confirmed Anglo phone with apathy for anything remotely non Anglo Saxon. It is little wonder you have no interest in young Welsh stars developing their careers.

If the Welsh set up had any interest in developing young Welsh stars Gunter would not have gone.

Wales to lose to France 3-0/4-0 and either beat Albania 1-0 or draw 0-0. Unfortunately I have Wales losing every game in the Euros and not scoring a goal, I hope those predictions of mine are very very wrong.

| Wales squad announcement on 19:20 - Jun 5 with 793 views | trampie | Good minutes for lots of the boys between the France and Albania games, Wales might be able to put a full team out in the Euros which did not seem to be the case a couple of weeks ago. Ben Davies, Ramsey, Allen etc all back playing, whether some boys will have had enough minutes and the Euros coming too soon for them before they are back up to full speed is to be seen. It will be interesting to see what Page thinks Wales first choice team looks like with everyone fit. | |

| Wales squad announcement on 21:46 - Jun 5 with 761 views | trampie | No Cabango in either international against France or Albania, can't see him starting against Switzerland in the Euro's next week. Wales can play any formation they like, it's hard to pick Wales starting elven, it all depends on the formation for one thing and even then who knows. Could Connor Roberts, Ampadu, Ramsey, Brooks, Wilson and Moore all be on the bench ? | |
