Where do you think it originates from, what is the most likely scenario, will we ever know?

Sure I read somewhere, it was down to the USA funding research in China, which was not allowed over there.

Exactly how I feel, it's like someone has registered a new username just so they can push the same tired old narratives that we have debated hard and moved past!

AJK, there are threads on all this, if you are so interested look them up and red away.

Personally I think covid came on the number 19 bus from Uranus, it took a wrong turn in downtown Beijing and got off at the wrong stop.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?

I wasn't here, so did not read them.

If my threads bore you you could always choose not to click on them.

Do you know who was the person in charge of the organisation that granted US taxpayer dollars to fund this research in Chinese labs?

It was a while ago I read the article, so can't be sure, but I have a feeling Fauchi was mentioned.

Do you know who managed the research for him though?
It is the British guy who was part of the WHO cover up.
I posted the video of him bragging about how they collected 100s of Viruses from 1000s of bats for their research.
The Wuhan researchers actually posted on line in research papers exactly what has been found on the COVID19 virus that was not there on SARS1 years before COVID appeared.

I think it was December 2019 which would fit the timeline of it beginning in China sometime before that.

We'll probably never be totally sure where it originated from, but I really don't think that Covid is that different to other viruses in that it jumped to humans from an animal host.

It might be a bit boring but the cluster at the Wuhan wet market is a bit of a give away.

There is a bit of a problem with that "paper". Nobody has ever claimed it infected humans directly from bat's as that link claims, there was almost certainly an intermediary animal.

Pangolins were mentioned but I suppose it could be anything.

An anti-communist commenting on China, don't you think there may be a conflict of interest?

Why is their absurd propaganda wrong but yours correct?

There is enough information online to form an opinion. Does anyone believe that a country with a population of 1.4 billion have recorded less covid related deaths than Wales?
The Chinese communist party, in my opinion, have lied, obstructed & misinformed the entire world throughout this pandemic.

It was defo September, i'm positive on that. It could have started then and then been taken to China. It would explain why it was allegedly in this country in December 2019. It's easy to blame China . Part of the propaganda to demonise our competitors

Not propoganda ? It would explain why many ppl had the symptoms here in December, myself and family included. I thought it was flu, but it was different to that and it lingered for a long time.

Yes- so did I. But more likely flu, a severe cold or even respiratory mycoplasma infection which was at an unusually high prevalence.

The PCR testing of wastewater showing early positives is pretty dubious. Those who also decry false positives in PCR testing should like the fact the signals are so weak there is a significant chance they are false positives as they are at Ct39. The also use a different gene that diagnostic testing which is less specific. The other paper using serology is almost certainly a cross-reaction and being investigated for scientific malpractice.

The current consensus is emergence in Wuhan in mid November, with some likely cases in Europe by December which went undiagnosed. The promed alert of unusually pneumonia in Wuhan was 31/12/19.

As for source-almost certainly an animal-to-human jump whether through perturbance of a habitat for bats or directly or through an intermediate host at the wet market (Wuhan Seafood Market). Changes in human:animal contact have driven most emerging viruses in the last 60 years-Ebola and HIV are either habitat incursion or bushmeat, Hendra and Nippah -from bats into horses in Australia and onto humans for Hendra and bats via pigs into humans in Indonesia for Nippah. Incursions onto bat territory in both cases.

Wet markets have also been a risk-especially of reassortment of influenza and likely the source of H1N1 avian influenza.

Accidental release of a modified virus is possible-accidents happen (FMD from Pirbright being a prime example), but as for the research being sinister or a plot-you would not be picking a coronavirus as a candidate for a bioweapon. The Mail article is hilarious-Chinese Government backing virus research. Christ, they will loose their s**t when they find out where viral research is funded from in the UK, and even more so when they, find out about the many joint UK:China programmes.
Pathogen 'hunting' -discovery of new viruses (and indeed bacteria) is pretty commonplace and quite trendy. Made easy by portable, low cost genome sequencing. What is even funnier is the Mail also posted an article on how an undergraduate student at UEA in Norwich had found a novel bat coronavirus in the UK. UEA must be a danger for society and a hotbed of communism (as well as Malcolm Bradbury's creative writing course).

It's laughable that people claim not follow conspiracy theories, yet are happy to share the most ridiculous tin foil hattery once again. The only element of indisputable truth is that Chinese authorities delayed informing WHO and underplayed the severity and extent of disease.

Zoonotic infections have and will remain a big threat. How we manage animals and disrupt their habitat ensures this. The next threat could equally come from the West as from China or elsewhere in Asia.

Could go on, but my day off and going to enjoy a walk in the sun.

i've had the flu and colds, but this was different, but we will never know as there was no testing. My wife who works on the covid ward, is the only one of her colleagues who didn't get the covid, so immunity maybe?

Why would the sewer samples be dubious? What do the Italian scientists have to gain my making dubious claims , and are they less able that scientists from other nations?Too much of a correlation to be dismissed
