Not dangerous driving, will probably be Due Care. Really need the camera from his dashboard if there is one, his view may be different, he may not have been able to see her from his vantage point.
It's not dangerous, due care if anything. He'll get a course.

I would initially blame the Red car driver for stopping at a green light and allowing them to cross (the plonkers have left their car reg on the dashcam footage too)
The pedestrians had no right to cross and even though they did, they should have gotten out of the way of the on-coming bus, the girl that got hit, wasn't even looking.
The bus had right of way but knowing what the world is like these days, the bus driver will be charged with something
Pedestrian obviously at fault. Crossing the road when the light was green and clearly not paying attention to the traffic.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

from the WOL article: Video of the incident shows vehicles on one side of the road stopping, even though it was vehicles' right of way at that point, but the bus continues on and hits the woman.
A Swansea resident has spoken of his shock at witnessing a bus hit a person at a pedestrian crossing in Swansea city centre.
Nathan Healy, 23, was driving along Castle Street on Friday evening when he spotted a group of people start to cross the road at a pedestrian crossing, even though cars were still being shown a green light and it was not safe to cross then.
Whilst he and other motorists managed to stop, a bus travelling up the road past Swansea Castle didn't - and bumped into one of the people crossing.
Dashcam footage from the incident shows the bus several metres away from the group of pedestrians when they begin to cross the road. The green traffic light is still showing for drivers at this point. There are then shouts of warning heard as the bus approaches the group but it still strikes one of the people who has not quite reached the pavement.
Nathan said: "I'd just been to Kaspa's [dessert restaurant] and I was on my way to Parc Tawe, going shopping.
"I approached the crossing by Pizza Express [Positano Express] and saw a group of people, students, walk out. Unfortunately, on a red light (for pedestrians)."
After hitting the pedestrian, Wales Online understands the bus driver drove a few metres away from the crossing before stopping and getting out of the bus to talk to the group. It's not thought that the woman hit suffered any serious injuries.
Nathan reported the matter to First Cymru and shared his dashcam footage with staff at the bus company.
First Cymru confirmed it was 'reviewing CCTV' from incident.
A spokesperson for First Cymru said: "We can confirm an incident took place in Swansea on Friday night which was immediately reported to us and the police by the driver. We later received the dashcam footage from a member of the public for which we are grateful.
"Our own investigations have commenced along with reviewing onboard CCTV. It would be inappropriate to comment further at this stage."

So are you saying the pedestrian was 100% innocent?
Innit. The question is who is to blame. Which is clearly the pedestrian for being unable to cross a road properly.
Much like the bendy buses got blamed, it's likely that the bus driver will get blamed for this too.

The bus driver must have seen that there were pedestrians on the crossing, just because the lights were on green doesn’t mean that he shouldn’t have stopped to avoid them. Careless driving, bordering on dangerous driving in my opinion.

Also if someone done that on their driving test, it would be an automatic fail.
I thought the laws had been changed recently to give pedestrians and cyclsists more protection?
Don't you have to give way to a pedestrian now? Even if they are being a complete twossock! I think the pedestrian was a berk for not even looking but the bus driver should have stopped.

Not as far as I’m aware.
Due is driving falling below the standards of a reasonably competent driver. Dangerous is ‘well below’
Like i said above we don’t know what view the driver had from his seat

That’s ridiculous. What other view could the driver have had ? If he couldn’t see for whatever reason, he should have stopped the bus.
He’s much higher up in the cab, his view would’ve been completely different to the camera angle we’ve seen. What I’m saying is as the pedestrian was directly in front of him, low down, he may not have seen her.

22. Pelican crossings. These are signal-controlled crossings operated by pedestrians. Push the control button to activate the traffic signals. When the red figure shows, do not cross. When a steady green figure shows, check the traffic has stopped then cross with care. When the green figure begins to flash you should not start to cross. If you have already started you should have time to finish crossing safely.

Car driver with the dash cam doesn’t have a choice have a choice and has to stop as the people are already stepping in to the road. The pedestrians have to take some responsibility and blame for the incident as they are crossing on a green light, but to my mind the bus driver should have done better.

Look at the front of the bus, the window goes very low down, the driver has much better field of view, he'd have seen her, in my opinion, unless he was distracted of course..
edited to say, I've watched it 5 times now and what strikes me is, all those pedestrians at the crossing, half of them don't look. One person starts to cross and many of them just follow, they don't look either way. But then, the driver had plenty of time to stop, I don't see how he couldn't see them.

The lights were changing weren't they, people everywhere and bus didn't seem to be holding back the horses, surely you need to show caution approaching a busy Zebra crossing.
