Barnsley v Swansea City : Matchday Thread : MATCHDAY! 11:51 - Nov 21 with 13505 viewsNotLoyal

It’s a trip up north for the Jack Army. The place where the north is, Barnsley. Baaaarsleh.Their new manager takes a bow, yes, it’s one of those, it’s his first full on boogey woogey game as the new manager. Let’s all wonder what might happen ?
Poya Asbaghi is his name, he’s a few months older than our Russell.

Barnsley Facts
Good old Barnsley, the home of the chocolate tea cake, once described by Mary Berry as having ‘one hell of a clout’ on it. The place where cricket has been played by white men for years, before that by women in skirts and braces, their coal covered faces glistening like the lower part of a donkeys residue. Those long gone days where equality wasn't a word, but quality was. The first time the word was used was from Yorkshireman Ecky Plinth, who was heard to mutter on his death bed “Quality” eeeeeQuality, Eeee by gum indeed. History cannot be changed, it happened.

When Barnsley was a village it was called Barnsley, it’s trees and wildlife, long gone birds like the Eccles herpes bird, and in 1783 when the blue sponged leopard was last sighted upon these golden bear shores. It’s swivelling head able to see it’s prey from many inches away, it was to be said this beautiful creature when photographed by a local inventor in 1783 was a joy to behold. “Oh Barnsley, Oh Barnsley” he cried, his voice swirling through the night air. “Where is thy soul my town, my whole life” Renowned for shitting behind his mates fridge from an early age, an electrical item years ahead of its time that was only ever used for storing walnuts and pink chin straps. It was only later on that the cold chill from this well lit appliance would be used for cooling down hot tea.

Swansea City head northwards with their ‘Cultural Architect’ 23rd Nov 2021 11:00
Russell Martin still can’t contain his delight in the fact that Matt Grimes has signed a new deal at the swans. After months of deliberation Grimes has put pen to paper on a new deal which could keep him at Swansea until 2024. The team head north today with their ‘Cultural architect’ 0

More mystery surrounding Michael Obafemi 24th Nov 2021 12:25
News has reached us that Michael Obafemi will not start today’s game against Barnsley, it is unconfirmed as yet, but it seems the player hasn’t even travelled with the squad for tonight’s game in Yorkshire. 0

Morgan Whittaker also doesn’t travel to Barnsley 24th Nov 2021 16:16
Morgan Whittaker who featured for Swansea City’s Under 23 side on Monday against Charlton Athletic has not travelled to Barnsley for tonight’s fixture. Along with Michael Obafemi he has been left out of the squad. Although we haven’t had it totally confirmed it isn’t believed either player is injured. 0

More later.

Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Are you watching?

I wonder what Resloven makes of that sheepsha&&er song our fans just boomed out? We know what we are!

It's all a bit disjointed right now, Barnsley are right up for it though. We'll need to earn the right to play the pretty stuff tonight.

Just my opinion, but WTF do I know anyway?
