| US Inflation hits 7 percent 18:24 - Jan 12 with 1191 views | JACKMANANDBOY | A simple story of production / supply being flat or under pressure due to supply shortages and deliberately pumping trillions of dollars into the economy ( same amount of things to buy and a lot more money to buy them with means prices go up). 10 percent is pretty much nailed on, some commentators saying 15 percent is not an unreasonable forecast. Those with less get hid harder by inflation. [Post edited 12 Jan 2022 18:27]

If the American market does crash it could be a very good buying opportunity.

Really annoys me when the Government use the highest (RPI) to set things like rail fair increases, student loan stuff and the lower figures when it comes to increasing pensions etc. https://www.ft.com/content/f72

CPI up again to 5.4% with the RPI now at 7.5%. Costs going up but wages for lots not keeping pace with inflation. https://www.ft.com/content/918

Probably the global recovery after the pandemic which has resulted in record oil prices, record gas prices, record shipping cost and chip shortages for cars. All these price increases will of course be passed onto consumers.

The gas prices are because of Putin's game playing. I'm sure somebody somewhere is also making a killing on manipulating petrol prices. Shipping container costs are absolutely ridiculous. Chip shortages for cars has just given a surge to used car prices. Inflation is higher than they are saying, I'm sure. Petrol is up by over 10%, some foods are 20-30% more. I wonder if Kilky thinks brexit is causing the USA's inflation?

| US Inflation hits 7 percent on 01:27 - Jan 20 with 805 views | Ajack_Kerouac | If you want proof of how corrupt the BBC is take a look at their explanations for high inflation here; https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/bus 1) No mention of the Biden regime's decisions on energy, sacrificing US energy production on the altar of Green energy. & 2) No mention whatsoever of the trillions of Dollars/Ponds etc. printed by the world's governments in order to pay people to sit at home for 2 years. NONE! To those who think the BBC is good value and "impartial" You believe it if you want to, you buy it...literally, because I want my money back. | |
