Staying at my daughter’s flat in Newcastle-under-Lyme-just got a taxi back and a much needed drink. I honestly don’t know where to start. Poor set up and poor tactically. Out thought and out fought by a disciplined and organised Stoke team who in fairness played decent stuff. We had at least some threat with Piroe and Pato. Obafemi worked hard and at least looked disappointed at the end. Downes wasted in defence. Smith, Fulton and Grimes in the same team? Joseph at least looked OK late on. Really hard to think of a more flat performance in 40+ years. | | | |
