I thought it was a good effort in the second half.

We’re a pretty limited team atm but they can’t be accused of leaving anything on the field.

Can't argue with that, was fearing the worst today but they put everything into it and really played for the shirt.

Some players have had to stand up today and there was some real hope, we scared England at HQ and that was something I didn't expect.

Yep.

I thought there were a few stand out performances today - Will Rowlands, both wingers, both scrum halves, Nick Tompkins.

I thought England might click today but we made them look quite ordinary.

France were world class. They’ll blow both England and us away, best team in the world.

They were superb today.

I’m just glad we’ve got them at home which is worth a few points.

Cuthbert looks a lot better since his stint in England, needed it as his confidence was shot.
Tompkins has worked hard on his defence.
Rowlands has all the tools but is now getting a run in the team and Beard is an exceptionally underrated player.

Back row has been a little weak but Falateu returning was a big plus.
We gave away some silly penalties but we were on the wrong end of a few calls also, being under dogs can see the 50/50 calls go against you... Refs go for the safe and less controversial option.

Superb weren't they?
Always been a case of getting the defence and discipline sorted... Step forward Shaun Edwards.

I felt for both Cuthbert and Moriarty today.

Cuthbert got pinged 3 times for holding on when really it was lack of support.

Moriarty got pinged a couple of times at the ruck when Itoje what’s holding him in. Theme’s the breaks.

Today was like watching the Swans with the gifting of a game to an opponent.

England were effetcive but shyte but street wise.

Ref was appalling though

I hate it when the jackler grabs hold of the player and makes no attempt to win the ball and pulls at the body of the player on the ground trying to present the ball.....its not allowing the player to present the ball and gets given as a turnover.

That needs to be looked at, if you don't have your hands on the ball then you need to be penalised not the team in possession.

Trouble is it’s so blummin’ complicated.

I played till I was 28 (not to a great standard I hasten to add) but there’s no way I could referee a game.

I find myself watching the ref during rucks and scrums as I don’t know which way it’ll go!

I still love the values, mind. My boy is football all the way but he knows to thank the ref after every game.

Pivac had the unwinnable task of taking over from Gatland, not sure he is the guy going forward but we are not the team of recent years despite last year's heroics that we got lucky with.

Wales are like the Swans, both teams are comparible as both are going through a big change.....if you wish to ignore the obvious restrictions then it is easy to pick holes but the reality is totally opposite to that.

I think Pivac got his selection pretty much right today.

Tomkins and Watkins may not be our best centres but they do have age on their side compared to others.

LRZ is the future on the wing but it was an awful defensive mistake against Scotland so I’m fine with him being dropped.

Faletau more than justified his selection.

The only change I’d make for the next game is Dewi Lake in at hooker. I think Elias will need some time to get over today.

We’re also devastated by injuries. In a perverse way, the French game may suit us better, as likely to be more open. France with Edwards though, crumbs

I think awful defensive mistake by LRZ is putting it a bit strong, The opposition player did extremely well to score and LRZ will learn from the try but it happens and will happen again against a strong running determined opponent who did well to wriggle through for a try..

'Awful mistake' is totally switching off and going to sleep while a line out is being taken which cost us the game against England yesterday.

The English try from our line out was created by foul play by Itoje, should have been looked at and would have ultimately not been rewarded.

All that said, Elias needs to be replaced by Dewi Lake who looks a real prospect already. When you bring in youngsters like Lake, Morgan, Basham and possibly even Ioan Lloyd... It could take a few years before things come in and unfortunately people want instant success and are unable to take the hard yards before things come together but I think it's the way the national team need to go.

Can't agree Scots beat England, Wales beat Scotland ergo Wales should batter England. Wales indiscipline giving away pens in kickable areas cost them.

Never knew getting old would happen so quick!

Yes, having so many injuries this year and forcing us to blood youngsters can only be a good thing.

I was expecting England by 15.
We were out of it by half time and 2nd half the team really showed some guts..... I don't thing many a honest fan was expecting to come away from HQ with a win.
