Well let's leave it here and see if it catches the attention , surely it's worthy of its own thread , I mean what else could 500 million be spent on and where

Not to mention the heavily subsidised air link between n & s Wales ,although for a sense of balance chicken feed compared to the money spent on PPE which now has to be destroyed,8 billion I believe ,it's always easy to spend money especially when it's not yours

Not much point in electrifying the rest off the line a waste of money . The track and signalling between Cardiff and Swansea are so out of date that line speeds are no more than 70mph in most places. The new bimodel train can accelerate and slow down quick than the old intercity 125 trains. The money would be better spent on the M4 bypassing the notorious Brynglas tunnels. Still the people in the valleys keep voting in Labour.

You’re wrong. All the signalling is being upgraded - at the moment the contract is for port Talbot to carmarthen

Unfortunately our public transport system is poor and reflects decades of massive underinvestment by successive governments both Conservative and Labour. The cost of using trains etc is astronomical.

Was a bit surprised (not) to see no one has mentioned the critics my levelled at the Chancellor in this weeks press on account of his failure to take steps to mitigate the increased payments for the national debt which are going to cost us an extra £11bn.

When we no longer have a devolved government which in the main is run by Welsh people for the Welsh people ,you know people like you and me who by incidentally have powers to improve the lot of this land then my angst will directed at Westminster so until then Drakeford and his band of charletens will continue to be my focus of contempt ,so may I suggest less of the whataboutery because that helps no one

Don't forget the new Velindre hospital which is being funded (like the HOTV road) by a form of PFI which means the build cost is doubled by the interest we will pay. The end result of all this waste is the decision, propped up by Plaid, to increase the numbers in the Senedd which they say will cost about 10 million so that's at least another 20 million down the Swanee then, wonder which part of the budget that will come from?

As with everything the government does, we the people will pay for it. Sunak made a complete balls up of it. Maybe he's not as smart as some people thought.

They have consigned St Helen’s to the dustbin but they can’t erase Glamorgan’s tight history with St Helens. It boils my p*ss too bud. All for two poxy tests every four years. I hope they go bust
