I really do not think that many are,deep down ,taken in. He does not have wholescale support not even majority and this will end his stay with us eventually as his tenacy becomes untenable. | |

Baffling why Martin seems to be excluding a talented young pacey player in a position we need talented young pacey players.
I hope it's not a case of poor judgement again on Martin's behalf, like the way he spectacularly got it so very wrong with Piroe.

a well written piece Keith,and having watched his post match interview I do fear for us this season.
whilst I have stated he should be measured after 10 games having watched the highlights it appears no lessons have been learnt from last season....so much for his iterative learning or is that only for the players
He talks of us playing differently to other teams...many other teams play out from the back but no other manager or coach seems to adopt the system he chooses makes you wonder why?
He talks of new players and hoe sone of those have played for him before and played his system ironic the Charlton goal came from mistake from Darling and Fjsher two players who have previously played together playing the Martin way
it's amazing that for most of the first half a lg1 side had us on the back foot....that said we did create lots chances
Well preseason over and a full one...the season starts at Rotherham Saturday....I wonder what Russ will have to say in his post match presser | |

Tried to break down all of his interview and then add some opinion, but also some obvious omissions which we all know about. I think he is going to find this season very tiring and it could break him. Or, of course it will all come together and he will get the rewards for all his hard work. And working hard he is. We have to give him that much.

It’s why I’m truly fearful Keith as I feel we will need to fight ,literally,to stay where we are . We are an open book and teams will again bully us . Downes at least had guts and spirit and it will have to be replaced otherwise we will sink without trace
Keeping Piroe would ensure we do stay up,if he leaves then we are again trusting Martin to replace a lifesaving player for us .
I’m hoping for the best but if he s going to go let it be when there is time enough to recover from his mistakes .
I honestly believe replacing Fusher is vital . He will cost us .
I think November is the time to analyse if he really is clueless and bin him. If we go down,the cost will be greater than sacking him. | |
