A poster called Andrew was promoting this nonsense 6 years ago on another forum. It was always in their business model according to him. It never happened of course. The plan was to plunder the parachutes and run.

The parachutes ended and only Copper and his mate Ayew ran away. Cooper to Forest and Ayew to Arabia. (He wanted to play at the highest level possible apparently). Lack of ambition for Ayew means lack of cash.

The Convertible loan Note is key to the future. If they sell Piroe and take their loan back then the future is not so good. If the convert it then that is a very real message of commitment. Silverstein is on the ground and he is not here to get his loan back.

We could be one season away from anything.

I imagine most of the Championship is a single season away from potential admin if they fail to sell players or owners stop sticking cash in the till. Wages bills of £20-30m on an income of £15-20m is the standard.

We ain't special for being skint.

Not sure either Cooper or Ayew ran away. Perhaps if the board backed Cooper he may have stayed. We could never afford Ayew's wages once his contract ran out.

Cooper was backed. Backed to a respectful Championship level backing.

In his first season he has an extraordinarily good first 11. He sneaked in to sixth.

Woodman Roberts Bidwell vd Horn Guehi Grimes Fulton Gallagher Kalulu Ayew Brewster with the likes of Routlegde in back up.

Brewster and Gallagher only came here with a matter of months left of the season. Brewster is now on the bench in the Championship.

Kalulu was terrible now playing in the French second division.

Woodman, Roberts, Bidwell, Grimes, Fulton are all championship players. Routledge was 35 years old on the verge of retirement and had a contract restricting his play time.

Ayew was good though and Guehi was nurtured excellently.

An extraordinarily good first 11 it most certainly wasn’t. I’m still stunned he managed to do what he did after losing McBurnie and James from Potters season, and being given £495k to spend to replace them.
