Yes a very good article no doubt he can spot a player.
But there is no getting away from the fact that we under achieved last season 15th was a poor return for the squad we had.
Yes there were plusses Downes and Piroe Obefami later on.
The double was great.
But there were minuses as well persisting with the suicidal passing at the back.
Signings of Fisher and Ogbetta 700k.
And a lowly league position.

Keith I admire your loyalty and support of the manager..but let's be honest 12 months on nothing is improving
after the first 5 games last season we had 4 points and were placed 19th in the table ....he had arrived days before the seasons start and had no pre season.
12 months on...5points a 20% improvement yet we are 19th in the table...and the foot ball is not great to watch.
He has had 12 months brought in hi his players less than a third of the starting line up we regulars under Cooper yet we are going backwards.
it is easy to pick out highlights in any managers career...you talk of the West Brom and Cardiff games which were oh so long ago.....we still dominate possession but dominate a game?
Martinez 's ethos was winning with attacking football a style far removed from the ethos of Martin
you quote his Guardian interview which again shows his egotism...whilst he believes in what he is doing and criticises those fans who dissent he forgets ultimately it is the fans he has to please.
12 months on nothing has changed....no signs of progress....yes there were flashed for 80 mins or so on Tuesday yet how did that end?
of course that was the players fault....not the manager who once again made significant changes in the personnel and shape of the defence late in the game.
some still say Martin needs 2 seasons...is that si he can return to Div 1....where again he only managed to finish 13th.
In all walks of life managers are measured on performance and results....so should Martin be.do people really believe we are improving we really are consistently a good watch. | |

2 weeks in transfer window, little chance of movement in, and a slim chance of any other decent manager to come in if Martins gone, no money , no movement!
