So we all seem happy with the owners now? 23:25 - Sep 2 with 1124 viewsDr_Parnassus

They held firm on Oba, didn’t tout Piroe around, brought in players….

Less of that nonsense now then.

Let’s bring the focus back to the real issue holding us back.

I bet you were sharpening your pencil waiting for Oba and Piroe to go, eh?

We'll have the same people talking about how we always let players go cheap next window, don't worry. Takes more than reality to change that tune.

Correct, we have already seen a shift in narrative already.

Now the owners have acted in exemplary fashion we are back to making things up about posters pretending they were saying Piroe and Obafemi would be leaving this month (I don’t think I saw anyone claim such a thing).

There always has to be somewhere to shift the anger.

Anywhere but the manager.

My guess is it will be the players next, blaming lack of effort, desire etc.

You heard it here first.

The owners are always monitoring performances and the manager. He has made promises he has to keep.

He has promised with the right players (he now has) and time (he has had) PROGRESS. If he does not progress the style and results changes will have to be made.

The first step would be a beefing up of his coaching staff with some influential input. (not loyal club men) Calderwood has already been discussed. The second step is the manager himself. It is football.

Predicting the demise of a manager is never that clever a prediction 2 years is the maximum 'shelf life' of a Swansea manager in recent times good or bad. You are not exactly putting your neck on the lines with the "you read it here first folks" quip.

My prediction was where the blame is shifted next, not the demise of any manager.

Maybe you need to read it again? 🤷‍♂️

Fisher has a good kick on him baffles me why we don't kick long sometimes when we under pressure. Don't have play same way all time. Piroe goal at Stoke came from a long ball. Bringing Ntcham on when we out on our feet trying hold on baffled me as well on Wednesday.

No,I'm not exactly happy but there again I am more entitled and have higher standards.
I am not happy t have lost two play off finals for a start and hate being 4th bottom of a mediocre championship playing a brand of football that is boredom personified.

We have some great fans though who go everywhere and won't tolerate any criticism at all

Why doesn’t Fisher kick long? Because we gain possession from his long kicks less than 1:10 and seem incapable of winning second ball.

Still less risk on our goal.

It would be fine if we could transition effectively from him, through defence and midfield to create chances. Conceding the odd goal from a mistake in and around our own box wouldn’t be an issue if we were scoring goals that started there.

As it is, despite lots of scares, we’re actually pretty good at playing our way out to safety, but once we get to midfield, there’s not enough offensive movement, we rarely run at players (Congreve does and Cooper did midweek), so we end up playing safe passes and the opposition have reset sufficiently enough to negate the advantage we created by Fisher playing a one two around their striker.

I don’t think our current on-field predicament can be put any more concise or clearly than this. Great post.
