Another false line pushed then. I know other aspects have not helped but ultimately costs take longer and very rarely drop to what they were before the steep and quick increases.

I’m afraid in a lot of cases prices for example become the new norm, not sure and hope this won’t be the case with this current crisis

Diesel is actually easier to produce and far more abundant and cheaper than petrol. - not sure why it's more expensive on the forecourts. Yes, it has the problem of particulates, but petrol contains benzene which is carcinogenic

It's expensive to produce and has to be compressed to very high pressures , then stored in specific cylinders. I can't see it being practical

A good friend of mine, who presently produces electric cars, is moving over to hydrogen. He will be in production shortly for 200 vehicles for California state. He is also close to finalising a deal with " an authority opo north" for similar. Massive Swans fan too.

I would be interested to know about his operation. Where does he get Hydrogen from ? How much does it cost him? How do cars store it - are there specially reinforced tanks in the car/ There would be a lot of extra weight etc. Good luck to him though

His company is Riversimple. Check it out. Hydrogen is stored in A bergavenny. Contracts being sought from big dairy farms as we speak. Plenty of hydrogen from those girls.

It has to be compressed to very high pressure for storage. Must need a special multi stage compressor, can't be a cheap option

Not so sure about that, Tesla has huge factories in the likes of China, Germany and the States. It is on target to produce 1.5 million electric cars this year, it is projected that it will produce 4 million cars by 2025.

Riversimple have a contract in place to supply 600 buses for Scotland by 2028, all running on Hydrogen.

Worcester already have a boiler ready for a blended mixture, last i heard they had overcome a big issue and were delighted with testing. I believe this will be the way forward for us.

Unfortunately producing Hydrogen from electrolysis use more energy the calorific value of the Hydrogen it produces. Basic laws of physics. Otherwise you would have free energy by using electricity to produce energy then using the Hydrogen to produce electricity.

And then they'll just put the price of Hydrogen to the equivalent cost of petrol/diesel/gas/electric.

Ah right, I've not paid too much attention but read Hydrogen car on one baord and the car looked Ok too If it costs more to charge than to fill up then the cost is a lot more seeing as a petrol engine will give a lot more mileage than an electric.

The cost of producing Hydrogen is significantly increasing. You need electricity to split water and the cost of electricity is rocketing.
