Watch the goals back. The first comes from a corner which we win with 8 of our players in their final third. The second, every player from both teams bar Benda is in their half and we’re trying to pass through them. Eventually a rebound falls to Cooper. Even the third, when the game had opened up more, we are probing and they are defending deeply when it breaks to Fulton.
We did go more direct after the second and particularly third and could easily have killed them off with it, but it’s not what got us any of our goals.
For what it’s worth, I’m on the optimistic side of realistic and I seriously doubted we’d get back into it at 2-0. | | | |
