That's what you call levelling up!

You give it out, you take it back it`s all part of the game

Pity they could not have spent some of that money to link the Swansea District line with the Mainline at Llamsamlett where the District line passes under the Mainline.

Would be nice for someone with vision to reopen Landore and Cockett stations. Then run regular commuting trains Port Talbot to Swansea and Llanelli to Swansea stopping at all stations.

Yep The Morfa Copper works is well underway , Swansea Museum is limited in what can be developed and not exactly a big employer . Curious to know what the £20 million will be spent on unless the shops etc are a cooperative then who benefits in the creation of new shops, restaurants and market places . it normally follows that people work to receive pay to then spend in said shops restaurants etc
Also what/where exactly and where is the historic estate in the Vale of Neath ,
That so called deal is a joke for Wales with yet again the exception being Cardiff , just compare job creation of building ,running and maintaining a railway line to opening a few shops and building a couple of cycle tracks . Crumbs again

It had been considered but the email's been lost in the ether somewhere

Speaking after Ministerial Questions, Mike Hedges said: “I am delighted to hear that Landore will be one of the stations considered for re-opening.

“I have long campaigned for this, both from an environmental perspective and to deal with the parking problems in the areas around the Liberty Stadium .

https://www.walesonline.co.uk/news/local-news/landore-train-station-swansea-bein

“With regards Safe Routes in Communities, this money is also very welcome. I am aware of the benefits to local communities through provision of for example the footpath under the railway bridge at Station Road, Llansamlet which makes the road a lot safer and which encourages walking to Trallwn School.

“I look forward to seeing similar improvements within the City Bay area in the coming months and years and will be visiting many of them in my constituency.”

No votes in this area for this Government , they are obviously buying marginal seat areas with Cardiff being a target , West Glamorgan , forget it .

Looks like Blackpool are on their radar as another potential , lets throw money at a deprived place , so then we come across as a caring Party .

Out of 40 parliamentary seats in wales, 14 have a Conservative MP, yet leveling up funding granted to just 11 areas, 6 are Conservative seats.
Strange isn't it,

Another reason not to vote Welsh Labour

That's what I dont understand, dispite decades of labour rule in Wales we continue to be one of the most deprived areas of europe and yet they're still voted in .
There has to be a reason why voters are so thick when it comes to general elections , maybe its a case of heart over head becasue common sense or an understanding of whats happening doesnt seem to exist . If ever a country needed a complete political reset it's Wales , the old guard regardless red or blue will continue to undersell us as seen in todays announcement .

I fully expect Labour to win the next General Election. Who will the Senedd then blame for a poor performance in Wales and lack of funding.

Apathy ? which is a dangerous condition in a democracy . and yes Labour are that bad .I'm not nor ever have voted Tory but when your local MP (labour) doesn't recognise her areas shortcomings, you don't agree with her voting record or the fact that she's so smug that canvassing is beneath her then why should I vote for her to represent my needs and not hers
