In a recent podcast interview, Huw hinted to that "he was no longer being listened to" towards the end of his reign at the club. And for those who have watched the Leeds: All Or Nothing - Dan James episode - it does not paint a good picture of how we do business on deadline day.
The warning signs have been there for some time.

I’m not surprised, his saving grace for me was the balls he showed when he pulled us out of the Leeds transfer. He knew he was a gonna so he did the right thing.
He knew the Americans were looking for quick profit and time displayed him to be right.
Leeds can paint as many pictures as they like.

Whatever happened during the sale in 2016 - Jenkins was very much respected within the footballing world. Deals were done. Think Wigan (Martinez, Jones, Reeves, Scotland) and Liverpool (Rodgers, Pascoe, Morgan, Allen).
I wonder if agents just don't want to deal with Swansea...? The Dan James incident did not paint us in a good light - but thankfully Huw did what was best for the club.

Jenkins never met a Swans player that he wasn't willing to flog below market value. I doubt anyone other than those directly involved knows what actually went on at the time but the idea that brave Huw stood up to anyone looking to sell a player on the cheap is utterly laughable.
Pain or damage don't end the world. Or despair, or f*cking beatings. The world ends when you're dead. Until then, you got more punishment in store. Stand it like a man... and give some back.

Well that’s what he told me, and if that’s the case why did he not just let James leave ?

I’ve read a few times questioning whether agents want to deal with us, agents will deal with anyone if the offer on the table is what they want regardless of the team.

Well Dan James just proves your view regards Huw Jenkins totally wrong.
I have no love for Jenkins but I certainly can't hold my finger in his direction regards your claim.

One rumoured occasion where he might not have bent over and allowed himself to be violated outdoes the many documented occasions where he did?
It does amuse me that the same Huw Jenkins who is lambasted for being both dishonest and in thrall to the new owners somehow is suddenly neither when the narrative suits a certain argument.

It's not a narrative to what you are suggesting, he is guilty of a few things but not what you are suggesting.
He was chairman when we got good deals for Bony, Ayew and Sigurdson......its just the claim you make is unfair and arbuably easily proven incorrect.
Must add, the James situation was not rumoured, been told and proven that Jenkins pulled the plug.

That you believe we got good deals for Bony and Ayew is bad enough. To add to that you think holding out for the price we got for Siggy was down to him even worse.
Was widely reported at the time that ownership overruled him on Siggy. If Huwbert had his way he'd have gone for £30m tops IMO.
The James situation was nothing but rumour. To most people anyway.

Well him and the rest sold the club to them and did very well out of it so excuse me for playing the worlds smallest violin when he says he wasn't being listened to.
How much due diligence was there when the club was sold and how much did $$$ talk?

Wouldn't you agree that what you are suggesting regards the Siggy claim you make, it would also be a rumour? It was never widely reported!

Then why stall the dan James deal to Leeds and then pull out ?
Not everyone believes him to be dishonest.

Let's be honest here, Jenkins has his fault and he sold out for the money.........i understand that but be honest about it.
The claims that DrW makes is just silly, can't claim Jenkins would sell under value and then state the James situation that was clearly all down to Jenkins was just rumour AND THEN state that he would have sold Siggy for 30M.......follow that up that it was widely reported that the ownership over ruled him!

The mind really does boggle with these people.
Jenkins made a lot of mistakes. Pulling the rug on the Dan James sale wasn't one of them. Also does Dr Winston have any proof that Jenkins would have happily undersold Siggy ? I must say though the way the transfers of Siggy and Llorente were handled was poor in their timing, whoever was responsible

The Siggy sale was terrible but you can argue over the fee, from beginning to end it took about 40 days if memory serves.......we never got anything sorted replacement wise in that time but instead panicked with the Clucas and Bony deals because of it.
That 45M should have made us stronger if things had been done correct, massive questions should have been asked as they were on the forums at the time but my memory of it all wasthe fast flowing football remark by the plonkers we all know well of on the forum.
Was it FFF they kept quoting? Was a joke then and a bigger joke looking back.

Of course he has made loads of mistakes, everyone does.
But because of the handling and way the sale of the club went doesn’t make everything he’s ever done dubious.

The Siggy money really should have seen us able to withstand any finance issues
We made significant money and Jenkins oversaw its misuse

"I have no love for Huw Jenkins".
It frankly makes no sense. I brought up as a lapsed Christian have a basic moral template where I show love and respect to those that did good by me and a cold disinterest in those who do not.
Running a football club is not easy. Silverstein cannot understand how he and his mates have put in £16m and still getting dog's abuse from the fans and still treading water in the deep end.
Mr Jenkins made it look easy after a tough first year or two. By 2013 he had achieved super human status. He made some inspired managerial signing and backed them the best he could. It could not last forever and the like Renato Sanchez was the second of the great sulkers of many more to come. (fat Franck was the first) . Obafemi and Patterson are the latest in a succession that Swansea avoided for a decade.
Swansea fans that say "I have no love for Huw Jenkins" have a moral bypass. He was sensational for Swansea for 14 out of 15 years.
The Trust people who disliked him have disappeared disillusioned and humiliated. The fans especially on forum back them like good old Chief. They were stone cold losers. The roamed over this website and others controlled by a barking doberman fruitcake. He was notionally "humanely dispatched" once the kennel had a new manager.
Long live Huw Jenkins greatest Swansea chairman of all time by several streets. Why do i say this? It is because I love and respect those that did good by me and I am not a coward.
The Trust are nice people these days but effectively a fake creation to give the illusion of influence and involvement by the fans and the community. If they really want clout then they have to share in investment if only with small sums. Levien throws the words "skin in the game" at every sound bite.

One of his and the board at the time failings was communication, they were awful at it. Too parochial in their thinking and too worried about everything. End result best say nothing.
