The Wigan match player ratings are odd.
5 players have been rated higher than the match winning, 2 goal Joel Piroe who is on 7.3.
Although Fisher made a great save he is rated joint highest with Wood on 8.1.
Grimes is on 7.9.
Lati and Paterson are on 7.5.
The other oddity is that Lati is 7.5 but Cabango is on only 5.5.

There is always a poor score for Cabango on this forum yet independent, unbiased and stat based assessments almost always rate him as one of the best on the pitch.

I find the Planet Swansea player ratings are far more accurate and consistent.

The average mark for the 11 starters was 6.8.
I think this forum has been invaded by a few Cardiff fans who mark Cabango down because he now plays for us. | |

Thought the back 4 as a unit were immense yesterday, yes wigan are no great shakes but they were quite physical, both centre halves were solid, lati played well but I thought manning was mom, he was everywhere, we need to keep him, even if it costs, he has experience the young uns need to feed off. |  | | |

You got people rating on here that obviously are bias.
Piroe scoring 2 goals is a 9 or 8 all day.
Cabango is an awesome tackler but quoting this forum he is like an artic lorry turning sometimes 😆.
Very important player though , wood and darling are coming along aswell. We need tidy wing backs and another goal scorer to help Piroe out. Next season top 6 easy 😎 | | | |

We have 5,500 registered users, half of whom nip in and outs at all times of the day and night. No other Swansea forum has that many active users, it’s anyone’s guess who they are. Or what their overall agenda is. | |

Cabango's passing accuracy lets him down otherwise his all round game is very good. He looks a bit stiff in the hips area and could do with some flexibility work there to improve speed and accuracy.
Wood is starting to look the real deal and will only improve as time goes on . Latibeaudiere had a very good solid game - caught once or twice by Mc Clean for pace but used his experience and strength to recover.
Manning - superb , was our most fouled player which tells you everything you need as to the problems he was causing Wigan's defence.
The player who caught my eye in the attacking third was Patterson . Clever on the ball looks up when in possession takes people on in dangerous situations which is what you want . He should have been awarded a penalty for a blatant trip when he skinned the last man in their penalty area . Ref bottled it as he would have had to send the Wigan player off . Faded as the game wore on but will only get fitter given more game time . Provides us with the out ball on transition. Would be one of the first names on my teamsheet because he is capable of the unpredictable and also provides good ammo for Piroe. | | | |
