He agreed to come weeks ago, his skills in the premier league would not be as successful by his own admission. You will of course have read it here 😂👀 Or not ,,

| Swansea Indepenent Poster Of The Year 2021. Dr P / Mart66 / Roathie / Parlay / E20/ Duffle was 2nd, but he is deluded and thinks in his little twisted brain that he won. Poor sod. We let him win this year, as he has cried for a whole year. His 14 usernames, bless his cotton socks.

Remember, there’s no more free radical than folk. Paul Watson’s position at Luton Town has already been filled. - We are delighted to announce that James Mooney has been appointed as the new Operations Manager at Luton Town Football Club. James has left his role as Chief Operations Officer at Forest Green Rovers, where he spent almost a decade, to move to Kenilworth Road.May 19, 2023 - People are asking the question why would he come to Swansea ? His role at Luton combines in the main the identification of players who could aide Luton’s progress. However, for me, now they are a premier league club that becomes a completely different ball game. Getting players on the cheap for Championship and League one football is on his CV generally. Remember the players we lost when the Swans were premier league ? How could Ryan Hedges get a game when someone like Gylfi was in front of him ? What value is there for Watson to bring in unknown or cheap players who won’t get a game when their pay structure will rocket and they will need more known players in their squad ? Plus, as he made the decision to come to Swansea before Luton’s promotion he most likely has had his head turned by a very decent package to come to the club. Conversely, I suppose Luton could now bump him up a half a million pay rise. But of course his position has already been filled. He obviously doesn’t see the value in bringing in players to reach an objective Luton have already reached. That aside a new challenge is refreshing.

| Paul Watson on 13:38 - May 28 with 2591 views | QJumpingJack | I assume he will have to serve a period of gardening leave which could create delays. I can't see Luton allowing him to leave to join another club straight away. Dan Ashworth had to serve 6 months when he left Brighton for Newcastle. | | | |

Might be different now that they are in the Premier League. I'm sure they aren't now bothered about the Championship.

Good question. No chairman with a record, a recruitment man under review at best. A head of academy Andy Goldie with deep knowledge of the Scottish game. Are there trusted low key staff with clout but no wish to be in the limelight. Is ther a "defacto" bootroom of people with clout who like Alan Curits delime the kettle occasionally. The kit room mans family, 'Wrighty' at the u21. Maybe Mr Morgan gives his 5 peneth to Jake and Jason. Even HJ has shares and a vested interest. He is also involved in his own football consultancy.

The Americans based on the usual stats, money and profit margins Watson has produced at Luton appointed him.

But who would have fed back to the Americans ? Someone inside the club or an agent touting for his client ? It would be good to have an understanding of where or how the connection was made. It is a key appointment for the club based on where it is right now, no coach, players running contracts down, players released, players wanting out, etc.

A bit of Julian Winter involved initially before he left I would imagine.

Mmmm … Winter would have recommended Josh Marsh, does that mean that he recognised that appointment was not working ?

More like what Marsh recommended the owners didn’t want to pay for.

Strange how a guy from Forest Green takes over his job. Unclear to me how he would be experienced in recruiting premier league calibre players either. Anyway, I have my fingers crossed for Watson. I hope he can find players in the mould we need. I don’t think Luton needed the same type of player. But time will tell 🙠
