I posted this about a year ago and recall the same incident. King Curt was full of style happiness and gave his time freely. He could barely give a smile to the cub legend.
It could t be the awkwardness of youth of course. I tried to find the clip but was not able to find it.
Quite a few of the Martin presentations came over as awkward and contrived suggesting an underlying simmering discontent. The one after the 'must win' Hull game another. It may be misleading of course. They had a party in Swansea for Martin when he left which was unusual. [Post edited 1 Aug 2023 14:57]

That’s absolutely fair enough and as it should be. The reality as I see it, is in the vast majority of cases where managers get grief for ‘not giving players a chance’ they end up being proven right. Very few have gone on to play at a similar or better level.
Gyokores is an exception, but in fairness to Cooper, he did look awful when he was here.
Guarantee the same thing will happen to Duff if he hits a sticky patch. | | | |
