BBC - It follows a warning from a female fan on Friday about a distressing taxi journey where the driver allegedly got in the back with her and asked for "sexual favours" instead of payment.

Possibly but I genuinely feel this part of the world sees life a far cheaper than we do.
Russia and its natural cruelty didn’t help however ,true enough.
Worst thing from us was USSR break up and the communist bloc as they were kept in their own countries to scratch a living .
We were and are the Promised Land as we are seen as soft ,as we are .

Keith not just there.
I’ve been stopped by both the Gendarmerie and Guardia Civil.
I don’t scare easily but both were traumatic experiences. I’m decent at French and was in Plod at the time and spent time over there with the job.
Made zero difference .
Guardia were an experience to forget.
Not giving a monkeys was a given with both | |

Was talking to someone who was out in Armenia and witnessed the incident. He reckons there were 4 guys standing in the square on their phones and minding their own business when a police van pulls up, occupants decamp and proceed to give the Welsh fans a bit of a kicking at which point a load of Welsh fans leave a nearby bar to see what’s going on. The police then proceed to detain all the Welsh fans who were carted off.
The witness observed the incident from a nearby fast food place and told me the manager of the food place locked the premise's door to stop the police entering. The fans were required to make a €12 payment and then released. | | | |

They wouldn’t do as usual and take a back hander. They just got a kick out of throwing a few in a van, giving the younger ones a few slaps, keep them in a room til morning, saying that they could lock them up for months. Then next morning kicking them out. All very odd.
We were in a pub, upstairs place with a metal staircase. You could hear their boots clicking on the staircase as they approached. The place went dead quiet. They walked around the pub for 5 minutes, stared at us with piercing eyes, then left.
All I can say about the Armenian people in general, all very friendly.
Ugly blokes, gorgeous women.
Food, drink very nice, cheap.
Didn’t see the sites, but it looks spectacular.
