Worth a read. Has anything changed in four years?

I'm afraid not , its always been about cheques and balances , = money in or money out , meaning screw the squad for as much as you can get as opposed to improving it.
We're now at the stage where the barrel has been scraped dry where maybe Wood is the last saleable asset, where or what the yanks do next is a mystery atm but one things for sure they don't give a flying fig for the Club .

That is not true. They care. It is the fans owners that do not give a fig. They were asleep in 2015 when they needed to go to work.

The fact is winning every week in football at this level is not easy It is reasonably easy for Ryan Reynolds at leagues 2 and they are already £10m out of pocket.

Some new prospects should have come out of the 13 new signings. Key maybe. Darling is improving. Azeem will be a star in my opinion. Possibly Smith and Wilson from the academy.

The model the owners are trying to proceed with is not sustainable. We are not building for the future and are struggling on a day to day basis. Nobody is expecting us to win every week but only two home wins this season is unacceptable. The youngsters you keep talking about are never given a chance so either your judgment is completely wrong or the club have no intention of developing our own. Apart from Key, who's fee is still unknown, the other summer signings have not performed to their purchase cost. We paid compensation for a coach and then a couple of months into a three year contract had to pay him off.

In short since Coleman became chairman in the summer and Watson became sporting director the club has become a complete shambles on and off the field. Give them time you say, they should be sacked now or we are staring League One in the face. Football is a results based business and those in charge of our club are clearly not up to it.

There are still some saleable assets at the club. Wood, Cabango, Darling, Key, Yates they are all worth something. The problem is that they aren't worth the £10-15m that would require the sale of only 1 of them per season. If the money is to come in this summer most of them have to go.
We made £12m in profit from transfers this summer. What happened to the £10m of investment that was talked up so much?
This summers transfer business seems to have been blown on a bunch of journeymen, lower league, average players. It's not the style of business that the club was good at on the way up, but does appear to be Watson's style. Who ever thought that he was a good fit for the club?? Luton's style is the antithesis of ours.
Why didn't he stay at Luton after he helped them to the Premiership?
Why bring in Duff and then have Watson pick his signings and his Assistant?
If we want to turn the club back to what it was then it should start by bringing in someone at the top with an understanding of what that is.
Watson should have been the first out of the door

Incorrect.
The Trust were very much awake in 2015 - remember the Noell and Moores interest?

If you can't remember check out this article: https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/sport/football/football-news/everton-takeover-la

Please check your facts with your source about the Trust before posting as sometimes things seem to get muddled. Thank you.

“ They care “

They certainly do not “ care “. Not about the football club or is development or progress or supporters. They don’t care about any of that.

All they do “ care “ about is making money. For themselves. Sadly they aren’t going about it in the right way. Absent football ownership rarely is successful. It needs a hands on, passionate approach. lol
At Wrexham. They “ care “.

You are bloody deluded Res. Their one and only KPI is $$$.

The article in the OP says it all and that was 4 years+ ago. It’s only got worse sinvpce.

These people haven’t a clue about running a football club. Nor does it seem that they are learning. It’s a ‘my way or the highway’ approach because we are Yanks (yes, I said it!) and when it comes to running a business no one can tell us how to do it. The arrogance is palpable.

They really must be driven out though I have no idea how that will happen. Voting with the feet is a good start and if that means a bit of ‘cutting one)s nose to spite one’s face’ then so be it. One step back to go two forwards. It maybe the only way.

And do us all a favour, stop this nonsense in every post about the Trust. You’re boring the pants off everybody here. The point whether right or wrong has been made. Ad nauseum!

only a handful of people from the Swans board + Swans trust board know what happened and what conversations took place in 2015 and 2016. Were you privvy to those conversations.
It may be best not to speculate unless you were part of those said conversations.
