One promotion for Burgos in his time as Technical Director there. He's also managed the team for one game in a caretaker capacity. Been a fairly solid mid table presence for the last few years.
Quite a hefty churn of players over the last few seasons with not an awful lot of money changing hands. No idea if that's a him thing or a lower Spanish league thing. |  |

I had a decent discussion on X with a sensible chap. Nothing to do with his past.
“ He was and remains the finest player I have ever seen pull on a white shirt post Curt and Robbie, never in doubt. His playing legacy will always be intact, I’m glad you see that 👍 I’m concerned about the overall skills and abilities needed to be a Sporting Director with millions of pounds at stake. And the many areas required in his daily role as we listed before. It would though create commercial revenue for the club. It’s a hell of a punt “
It’s about the effect on him if it goes wrong for me.
Context on now rather than before.
Some of his remit.
“His role isn’t just recruitment, it’s finalising deals, making a profit from sales of players in the squads, budget management, academy liaison, management of transfer amortisation (when a player signs with the fee paid over the length of his contract as an example) and internal contract negotiations. And that’s the basics. Loads more.”
With his personality would he put up with the role for long term ?

The guy with 1.9M followers on X won’t live it down. The best one we had last season was a journalist who hd 3M plus. He stated some guy was on the plane already on his way to Swansea. I think he was Swiss. Knocked that out the park in five minutes, he blocked me 😂Thing is he would have read it on here first not on twitter s it went on hours later. | |
