I don't hate him I just think he was terrible business particularly when we gave Joseph in part ex. Coupled with the fact that he bottled every 50/50 ball and backed out of tackles.
It took me quite some time to even remember who Yates was, I would say not helped by the managers here ideas on coaching who didn't seem to improve that many of our players, many needed to or wanted move away to regain anything like confidence in their abilities. I saw very little in Yates that was memorable in his time with the Swans though.

Some players work out, some players don't. It's not always down to the individual. Never really understand the need for the kind of hate on display from a thankfully small number of people.
An example from the past is Pawel Abbott. Scored tons of goals everywhere except here. signed by KJ then ultimately left after scoring just once because Martinez simply didn't want him, yet was absolutely lambasted at the time.

I don’t see any hate here I see people with opinions. The whole Jerry Yates thing was a disaster for him. You only have to look at his stats for chances missed, they are pretty poor. Going seventeen games without a goal didn’t help. I was amazed Luton paid what they did for him. It’s not hate it’s just opinion. He wasn’t all that.
Personally I hate very few people apart from those having their weekend disrupted as we speak 😂

Clearly Yates is not by any sane definition one of our worst ever signings, but this is the mentality of some people who can't find something else to do on Saturdays.

Our joint top scorer of 3 years ago! Incidentally that is a poisoned challis. Jamal Lowe was the other joint top scorer. Both are gone. Two seasons ago, it was Cullen. He's gone. Last season it was Vipi and he's about to go. And we wonder why we can't score goals!

So is Captain fantastic. just watched the Cov game on match of the day , and realised why he never went anywhere in all these years. ......lack of pace.
