| Police on 07:51 - Oct 29 with 540 views | JACKMANANDBOY | For context there are about 170,000 FTE police officers in the UK. | |

My understanding is thats Its officers . I just happened to watch an intetresting interview between Mark Rowley and Emily Maitlis of the BBC which more than highlighted the problems the Met alone has with rogue officers.

"Nearly half came from the Metropolitan Police alone, where dozens of officers faced accusations of rape or other sexual offences." If there were 1,200 officers involved and nearly half came from the Metropolitan Police, surely it would be hundreds of officers from there not dozens. Im not defending anyone here, I just think the headline is misleading.

| Police on 13:24 - Oct 29 with 347 views | KeithHaynes | No excuse for any of it. There are only 43 police forces so they’ve included other less well trained or those that recruit people who can’t get into the police. Plus special constables are not trained at all in any depth. It’s misleading but also a mark on how the standard has dropped. BTW ‘intelligent’ is the name of the website but it doesn’t quantify anything regards the real information people want. Demographics, length of service or which departments or ranks are involved. That’s the info people want to see.

| Police on 07:14 - Oct 30 with 124 views | Demitrius | Like Keith says it's not quantified There are still excellent coppers serving but being undermined by woke useless trash at street and as OHL notes at management level. We. & the coppers themselves deserve better to serve us. For law abiding regular citizens the Police should be our protectors, our friends and the first port of call when danger hits , sadly they too have been compromised by successive governments that hate their own people. It's going to kick off in the UK and it will be interesting to see what side the buttered toast falls... | |

| Police on 08:29 - Oct 30 with 82 views | jack_lord | I suppose you could give some comparison context with those figures. nearly 1300 reports over three years of 140000 officers in England and Wales is less than 1% whereas there are 1.4 million reports in England and Wales a year. The working population between 16 and 64 is approximately 35 million which would give a figure of 4% (based on the assumption that those outside that demographic don't). I then guess that the police figure to experience domestic figure is a quarter less likely then the other figure. No excuse for any of it and the first group should probably know better. | |
