 | Your Report | West Bromwich Albion v Southampton Your Report added by KriSaint at 23:53:55 A good, hard earned point and our unbeaten run continues till' at least Coventry; on a difficult evening in Birmingham with seemingly heavy legs on some of our players. Good equalizer by Cyle. I hope Leos injury is not as bad as feared. COYS. |
 | Your Report | West Bromwich Albion v Southampton Your Report added by onetowatch at 10:39:31 No it wasn't good last night - lacked any precision in the last third, slower build up play, too many 50/50 or completely loose balls. We got away with a point. I have never moaned about referees before, and the ref wasn't the reason for the outcome, but he was particularly poor, even in this league. So many fans criticise VAR, but it's far better to have it than the standard we're seeing from referees in this league this season. ne final gripe, I'm sure most commenting on here were either there or watched the game live - I'm not saying SC had a great game, but he made some good runs forward, some good passes and interceptions/tackles - got back very well on one particular occasion to halt a breakaway - to have him as the player with the lowest rating is unbelievable - I'm not sure what some people are watching.... |
 | Your Report | West Bromwich Albion v Southampton Your Report added by TimSaint at 00:08:40 Hangover from the Cup game on Sunday. 3rd of 4 consecutive away games !! Hopefully Leo is Ok and was only taken off as a precaution. Fortunate equaliser, but in the circumstances, we'll take it !! This reminded me a little of a Will Still or Russell Martin style performance. Plenty of possession but nothing really created. |
 | Your Report | West Bromwich Albion v Southampton Your Report added by Bowlercow at 23:03:12 We came back to earth with a bumb today Downes and Bree played like they were scared of getting booked and subsequently banned At least that problem is now gone so they should be able to play more aggressively and naturally on Saturday Some work needed on defending high balls into the box Never expected a classic but we were well off our best |
 | Your Report | Fulham v Southampton Your Report added by Bowlercow at 16:35:02 A good tough performance The defence were 100% committed today. Peretz has definitely made a difference and you can see him bossing the back line Could have been two up early on but then Fulham got their act together and put us under pressure for long periods Fair play to them all not a bad performance to be seen I would definitely have been angry if that penalty had been awarded against us.A really soft pen Thanks ref. |
 | Your Report | Fulham v Southampton Your Report added by KriSaint at 16:26:24 Besides goalie Peretz almost unaliving Mannings lungs with a venomous goal kick directly into Mannings chest region....; a goal kick which was CORRECTLY decided to be re-taken by the ref; otherwise Fulham would be 1-0 ahead by a gift - our boys did really, really, really well at Craven Cottage today and deserved the advancement to the last 8 by a mile. To the pleasure of almost 5000 travelling Saints supporters. Huge credit to them. I could hear them sing all the way to Copenhagen, Denmark. <3 . Great pen by Ross Stewart in injury time :-D ; pure class. I don't care who we draw in the quarter final as long as it's at home. Just bring the opponent on. It'll be fun , and the top goal of this season is reaching the championship top 6 anyway, which we should be very capable of as things have developed during the last 4 weeks. One or rather two matches at Wembley in the FA Cup, would be amazing however. I feel our team did the heroes of 1976 good credit today. 50 years on. I love that. Very well done Tonda and team. I'm proud to be a die hard Saints supporter since January 1980. COYS <3 |

 | Your Report | Fulham v Southampton Your Report added by SaintPaulVW at 15:33:29 Started well, then Fulham came back into it. Had several chances in the first half. Second half much the same. However this current Saints team have great self belief and can physically impose themselves on the opposition. Got the lead, Stewart again showing why he deserves a new deal. Best part is we looked equal to Fulham. I hope this is a real confidence booster for everyone. THB and Scienza were fantastic, Downes and Larin took the game to Fulham. Can't fault anyone really. | Your Report | Queens Park Rangers v Sheffield United Your Report added by Geoff78 at 18:05:51 Not physical enough, too easily bullied off the ball and too many unforced errors. But the excuses are legitimate: a young relatively inexperienced team, injuries, afraid to pick Mbengue in case he gets a card, the quality and money spent on the Blades line up. Once we got the subs on and formation right we were pretty well organised, but our midfield is weak without Nico. I thought Kone was terrific for his work rate usually without any support and unlucky to have the goal disallowed. Jimmy also played well, but Kone is my MotM. |
 | Your Report | Sheffield Wednesday v Southampton Your Report added by KriSaint at 13:49:20 Looked like we played a pub team to be fair. After the first 15 minutes we had had 91 % possession. We got the three points without any sweat. Nobody got injured I hope. On to the next match. I feel sorry for Sheff. Wed. |
