Brum match thread on 15:36 - Feb 9 by BrianMcCarthy

Two problems to be sorted:-

1) We're being over-run in midfield. We need a third man in there. Freeman until half-time. Wells to the right.

2) We're being outworked.

3-0 from a corner.

Sounds like this is one of our periodic necessary reminders why we don't play wingers and two up top.

4-0 as Adams taps home the rebound after Jota hits the post after a gorgeous Birmingham move. If Jota's shot went in it would have been one of the best goals any oppo had scored a HQ.

A mickey-taking back heel, shot, parried, Adams first to the ball and it's 4-0....

May as well pull up an armchair and roll up a juicy one.

Absolutely.

442 did well against Portsmouth, but not here.

1-4.

Bloody typical how their rough non-league diamond's turned into a £15m asset and we got Washington.

Oh dear. Plenty of blame to go around there Jesus. TWO backheels in that move?
Defence standing off and letting them getting a shot in. And oh dear Lumley.

4-4-2 vs Brum with their physicality is as laughable as playing 4-4-2 against Millwall. We can't match them. The only positives first half have been Bright-Samuel and Wells.

Not as much I laughed at the deluded talking about play offs, if Mclaren finnishes any lower than 16th then there would have been no point in getting rid of Olly

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

This one has 5-5 written all over it. Think the last time we were 4-1 down at home was against Newcastle many moons ago.

Brum match thread on 15:52 - Feb 9 with 1465 viewsjonno

I would ask one question - Birmingham play with two big men up front, so why do we have our most dominant centre back on the bench while we watch the abysmal Lynch and lightweight Hall struggle against them? Also, we play Smith up front but rarely get a decent cross in to him until we finally get a decent corner in to him at the end of the half. No point selecting Smith if you aren't going to put the ball on his head because he can't do anything else.

At the game. Absolutely shocking just like the game against Preston, we have been bullied out of it. Second to everything; Lumley having brain farts and can't kick. Playing Hall when Brum's solid lumps up front are as physical as they come.

We cannot keep the ball, we are standing off them admiring their football rather than getting stuck in.

This is as bad as it has been over the last few years and why I am sitting here safe in the knowledge that it could still get worse I do not know.

Thoroughly depressing and this league form is starting to look more than a mere wobble.

Can we go out yet?
