Lee Johnson Sacked on 18:35 - Jul 4 with 2870 views | distortR | pointless at this stage in more then one way, imho. Unlike MW, he did get to 'improve' the squad in january, but Nakhi Wells is not a player i would spend big on, when he's hot, he's hot and when he's not, he's shite. We've seen both sides of him.

Lee Johnson Sacked on 18:47 - Jul 4 with 2817 views | Konk | There’s been a lot of moaning about him over at least the past couple of seasons. Aside from the League cup run, they’ve apparently been pretty turgid at home under Johnson. I’ve taken my son to watch them a few times as we’re five minutes away from the Gateh, and they’ve been poor/bang average every time we’ve seen them. Made a lot on sales, but spent a few bob too. Loads of City fans saying they wouldn’t renew if Johnson was there next season - think it’s about a lack of entertainment rather than results.

Lee Johnson Sacked on 18:49 - Jul 4 with 2811 views | enfieldargh | selling Josh Brownhill was a massive loss for them. Nhaki is an average goal poacher and not worth £4m. More like 11million for Brownhill & 1 mill for Wells. Shame.....not

Lee Johnson Sacked on 18:56 - Jul 4 with 2770 views | ManinBlack | Maybe they have standards. I don't think it is a complete surprise. They were 5 points above us when the season resumed so even better placed to attack the last play off spot than us. The owners have made no secret they want to be in the Premier League. I have no doubt they expected to really go for it so losing all four matches when they were so close to getting the final spot must have upset them. I have accused our manager of not being able to motivate his team and I suspect the owners of Bristol City feel the same about Johnson. He has been there for a number of seasons now and presumably they feel he has had long enough and want a change for next season.

There's been a trend with our last 3 managers and that is having long winless runs. The current manager has shown an ability to stop them and go on long winning runs, the players are the common denominator so MW has got enough about him to do something about it and unfortunately the break has really scuppered his run for the playoffs (long shot I know). We have to acknowledge that albeit it is a poor run but no one was able to coach the players in the lock down and with them being pretty fragile perhaps he's having to get them back on board again and we'll start one of those winning runs again. If during the lockdown every squad was being trained by their clubs and we came out and played poorly compared to previous form then I would 100% lay responsibility at coaches door, I'm happy to wait just yet. Might save me from people thinking I'm a reactionary fool...

I've never associated the name Karl with reactionary foolishness, now serial killing or total world control....

That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles

How can this be? everyone knows that if a player leaves us he goes onto be much better and we look silly again. Wells is not a great poacher he's actually more a AM as his passing is awesome. But he won't play that position and as a result, he is where we see him. Got his last payday anyway. Leauge One beckons with managership down the line no doubt. Well done to him.
