Could be inaccurate but....
BREAKING: Charlie Goode has failed his medical at QPR. They have decided to not take the risk and the transfer will not go ahead.

The source is soccertransferconfirmings on Twitter.

*If* it is true, can anyone remember another player failing our medical? It will be more rigorous now but in the Paladini days, it consisted of putting a mirror in front of the player's mouth and checking for misting.

"Things had started becoming increasingly desperate at Loftus Road but QPR have been handed a massive lifeline and the place has absolutely erupted. it's carnage. It's bedlam. It's 1-1."

Here's the tweet:

I had never heard of this source before but I am hardly an authority on such things. Might all be nonsense, of course.

There are some real nutcases out there who make up transfer rumours, I've never really understood what they gain from it, even on the rare occasion they get one right what have they achieved other than be good at guessing

I personally don't believe anything any of these accounts say unless they use the red flashing light emoji at the start of the sentence.

The only time any transfer news is worth believing is when its announced through official club channels*

* Other than QPR under Paladini when we very nearly had Heidar Helguson playing against us the very day after announcing we'd signed him

Didn't we parade Stefan Moore round the pitch before he signed too.

I don't know that one if we did!

In his case probably a shame someone else didn't snaffle him off us

It could be a 13 year old winding everyone up from their bedroom, obs.

However:
- They only set up their Twitter page this August
- They broke the Vertonghen to Benfica story before The Sun, The Fail and the BBC.

That said, it could well be a load of bollox. The official Northampton Town Twitter site is saying Goode was training with Town yesterday.

It could be that he failed a medical for being too fit and therefore there was a risk of him being able to defend a set piece?

Never knowingly right.

Not to lend any credence to the made up Twitter bullsht but Goode has already missed the best part of 2 seasons football at Scunthorpe blowing his knee out.

If that's the case he sounds perfect. When can he start and how long will he be out for?

No comment on the credence of that twitter account, but the fact that he was training with Town has no baring on whether or not he would pass a medical. We've seen loads of seemingly fit players fail medicals for underlying/latent health reasons, Remy to Liverpool one of many.

Ah, the point about him being at training at Northampton was that he couldn't be in two places at once, so, having a medical at QPR and simultaneously taking part in a training session miles away.

There's been chatter about Vertonghen to Benfica before yesterday. Was in The Sun the day before: https://www.thesun.co.uk/sport/12382718/jan-vertonghen-benfica-transfer-cavani/

Surely if Sandro could pass the QPR medical it must be impossible for anybody to fail one?

A perfect replacement for Grant Hall, then.

Went to view a house today and in the 3rd bedroom was a signed picture of Charlie Goode
I’m taking that as a good omen as we are making a bid on the property
The player will become ours and then I can continue to hang a picture of him in potentially our new home

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

You'd better hope the signing goes through then otherwise it doesn't bode well for your chances of getting the house!
