Generally think the club can't really do much more, they are having to adjust to an ever changing environment. It is also tricky for fans and their finances in the face of a massive economic downturn and spending money on a season ticket may just not be a priority at the moment. I hope as many stick with it as possible so that the club can retain income. Probably more importantly those fans who either don't have a season ticket, attend sporadically or not at all, get behind the club and buy the £10 home game streams to give a chance of making up for lost revenue, through no fans in the stadium.

Season Ticket Update on 11:42 - Oct 4 by GloryHunter

That was the original offer, but they've changed that now. You will now be charged £10 for each streamed game, so you won't get any refund at the end of the season.
https://www.qpr.co.uk/news/club-news/season-ticket-update-031020/

But you will get access to any home or midweek away games which Sky show, which non season ticket holders won't.
So if you don't have Sky that is a benefit.

Bad news. The club has buried this in a sneaky announcement. They have decided to start deducting £10 per game from the money they are currently sitting on for your season ticket as a "charge" for the streams that were supposed to be compensation for what is effectively an interest free loan from you to the club. They will do this, whether you watch the streams or not, unless you contact the box office by this Friday 9th October, and request a full refund of your season ticket.

I shall be doing so in person and I'll insist the money is refunded immediately, and not over a process that takes more than 3 months like last season.

A totally unrealistic appraisal of the situation.

Don't you realise it costs money to run the club and where do suppose that money is coming from at the moment?

Yup, total misunderstanding of the situation the club and ourselves have been placed in through no fault of theirs or ours. They have handled it as best they can and so have the vast majority of the fans.

Here here. These are strange and difficult times and my main concern is QPR staying afloat. I'm happy for the club to use my ST moneyas they wish and to buy the streams for the Sarurday away games.

not sure this has been buried, they have been quite clear about it and if you don't want the streams get the refund, seems an easy choice

I'm still unsure what's going on re season tickets and access to QPR+.

I pay my season ticket via direct debit and understand they will take the money on the 2nd November and will do this over 7 months...

Will I have to pay £10 per match on top?

Reading that means I’m even more confused than I was before.
We all renewed via the direct debit scheme, and the first payment is now due in November. But I never received an email with my activation code in it before the Forest game.I didn’t bother contacting the box office as I was alway that weekend and wouldn’t watch it anyway. The boro game last week was another game I couldn’t see,so once again I didn’t contact them.
Does that mean that I’ll be charged £10 for future games whether I watch them or not?

I think I might be tempted to go for the refund if that is the case because I didn’t really enjoy watching the games at the back end of last season that way.

Although of course you could buy a NowTV sports day pass for £10.00 and watch them, and any other game that day.

Not sure on that one. Best contact the club and ask them to clarify.

You won't be charged for the Forest or Boro games, but if you don't request a refund, or in your case cancel the payments you will be charged for 28 games whether you watch them or not.

Can you watch Now TV via a Sky Satellite box? (I don't subscribe to Sky, but I watch FreeSat via a Sky box).

Edit: Apparently not. You have to stream it via the interweb. Shame.

I think I get it...

I'll still have access to all home and mid-week away fixtures, but will have to pay £10 for other games and the money spent can be redeemed in the form of money off my next season ticket.

Yes it does. If you click through to the FAQs it says two relevant things. One is that you can't change your mind if you choose not to request the refund by this Friday, implying that after then, you will be committed to paying a tenner per stream whether you watch it or not. The other is that it is the access that is chargeable, not the use of the access.

So here's the problem: we've been given just six days to make the decision, and there is no situation in which it makes more sense to do nothing and let the club keep your money and then give you whatever is left after deducting £280 some time this summer, about 12-18 months after you paid it. And yet that is the default outcome after a very short window, and based on details buried in an FAQ linked to from an announcement that was not publicised as much as it should have been.

The proper honest approach would have been for the club to simply refund all season tickets, void the QPR plus voucher and then invite season ticket holders to pay per stream like everyone else, OR commit £280 to get the sky games as well. But then it's very easy to find streams of games that are being broadcast for TV anyway and the club gets the money for that no matter how many people watch.

Instead they are hoping that lots of season ticket holders miss the narrow window of opportunity, or make the mistake of thinking they'll only be charged for the games they actually log in to watch, all while the club also gets an interest free loan of the rest of their money. It's absolutely rotten.

I'll be getting my refund and then I will pay for the streams I want to watch. If by some miracle we're allowed to go to games again we'll be allowed to pay once again for the remaining portion of our season ticket at that time.

Anyway, if you're reading this you'll be making an informed decision now, so make of it what you will.

That's no different from the QPR streams though is it?

I've read the website - the information and FAQ's aren't clear and judging from this thread others also don't understand it.

Best thing to do is cancel my season ticket direct debit and pay to stream individual games.

What would be helpful if if we could use up our potential next season credit to purchase streamed access to Saturday away games this season .

But it also says that if you have a less expensive season ticket your credit will run out before the 28 games. So hints at charge for usage?

I think this is the only point that isn't totally clear.

Again, I can totally understand why others would feel differently, especially for those with cheaper season tickets where the balance of cost/credit becomes a bit more nuanced, but reading through it how it appears to me is that over the next 7 months I will pay £535 for my season ticket (Adult, Gold)

From that, £280 will be allocated against the 28 streams available to me for the rest of the season. I don't have Sky so I will be watching those games on QPR+. All being well I'll probably be able to watch them all (and even if I can't, thats no different to me still having to pay for the 1/2 home games I can't attend each season)

That will give me £255 credit to use against a season ticket for 21/22, by which time we will hopefully all be back in the stadium. Well fingers crossed anyway...

For me, in my circumstances, with my season ticket cost, thats fair. I can live with that.

(Hoping I have 1) Understood the maths and 2) If I have, which I think I have, gives a bit of clarification for those a bit more unsure of the figures!)

The points I want to make about NowTV are:

1. You don't have to have a Sky subscription to watch game that is on Sky

2. If you haven't got a Sky box you can watch NowTV streamed to your computer, which is no different to watching a QPR+ stream.

3. I don't think Sky away games are available on stream, if so it's not a choice of where you watch or who gets the money

EDIT: I've checked and in the new update it does say ALL home and away midweek fixtures are available on stream, so maybe there isn't a nedd for NowTV after all - except maybe away weekend fixtures selected by Sky?
