Totally agree. Our squad have had a style of football drilled into them. I’m afraid they are not right for Ainsworth’s way. Well and truly found out tonight with our weakness at full back . Confidence is still brittle and the first half bounces went their way.

No doubt someone will have posted this elsewhere - but, for me, tonight is soooooooo reminiscent of the 2000/01 season.
If you remember, inbetween the two 5-0 horrorshows at Preston and Wimbledon (Feb/Mar 2001?) were actually 2 'Watford-style' back-to-back wins against West Brom and Gillingham which made me think there was spirit there and we could be ok. Then came Selhurst Park, then the Fulham 'double-injury' game....

That wasn't really the problem tonight, I didn't think we did any shithousing or barging defenders or anything tonight, complete opposite to Saturday, passive all night, free headers every set piece, letting players run off them. Totally agree.
Hopefully, we might just avoid the dreaded drop this season, but if we persist with this hit and hope next season, then we're done for. To survive in this division next season, we are going to need more than just honest endeavour.
Teams like Luton have this in abundance but they're also adept at playing a bit of football. | | | |

How we come back from this is to assess who is doing what and who is not doing what and it is not all the defence - although I'll keep my thoughts about the back to myself as I do not wish to use any profanities.
Consistently this season the shots on goal stats have been abysmal and we know that we only get a snatched goal here and there.
Get to the ground on Saturday at 2:15 and watch the players shooting and shooting and shooting and then at 3.00 watch them not shoot and pass the ball when a shot is the better choice.
I really really do not get the coaching staff and the players' mind sets regarding not shooting. I have joked and written about the difference between shooting practice and playing but I cannot see where two goals are ever going to come from in one match.
Sad but a repeat of all the seasons where we lose to the teams below us | | | |
