Yep well done to them. Had a flutter on them this season, as their late run to the play offs last season and they were extremely unlucky not to win the play off final.
Reason i backed them was actually Frank Lampard.
He has had a few failures management wise but i think he is the type of man that works extremely hard and is always assessing his own performance, and definitely learns from his mistakes.
Coventry fans are worried he will be poached and can see that happening. i guess he may end up back at Chelsea at some point . Would that be a good move, not so sure myself.Appreciate he is a Chelsea legend but dont have an issue with him myself, as against his mate John Terry.
But listening to the gracious and well spoken interviews from both Frank and the Coventry chairman last night, all the words and explanations spoken, you can see why Coventry have succeeded this time.

Last game of the season in 1986 Coventry had to beat us to avoid relegation, we took the lead but they beat us 2-1, at the end of the game those of us there stood and clapped as they invaded the pitch celebrating, they repaid that by running towards the away end and throwing stones and other debris at us.
Outside they appeared on the hill like a tribe of apache Indians and attacked.
Hated the bastards ever since, chuck in Eion Jess on top of that and I wish them nothing but ill fortune. |  |

Remember the Eoin Jess game very well. That was very lively to say the least outside afterwards.
Also remember being up there when we won. Think it was a night game and the 1-0 win saw us go top of the Premier League albeit we were only 5 or 6 games into the season.
We were also the first team to play at the Ricoh. It was straight after the Ibiza Cup. We lost 3-0.

I have several mates that are Cov and they’re all sound so delighted for them, gone up after sensible club management for years, and to be honest I didn’t think FL had it in him to win the title (which is now a formality).
I used to worked on The One Show, and met Lampard several times. Much to my annoyance at the time, as he was still at Chelsea, he was a really lovely guy. |  | | |
