I'm sure I read somewhere on here yesterday that McClaren was at the game yesterday so I'm surprised there's been no further mention of it since.
Bearing in mind the inexperience of JFH and our obvious struggles at the moment would it not be a good idea and move by SpudLes to bring in McClaren in a coaching role similar to the one he had when Redknapp was with us?!

Hadn't seen that thread but I've just checked the match thread and it was mentioned on there on the last page that McClaren was at the game.
As I said in the the first post I don't see any downside to the idea, quite the opposite assuming that JFH is on board with the idea. | |

Looking back, he actually did pretty well with Derby when you compare it to Clement and now Pearson (although unfair as its early days)
You dont win the Dutch championship twice with a team like Twente by accident....but he has made some major screw ups too. I think he is one of those managers where, if you give him players, he'll do something with them.....just dont let him spend the money. | |

McClaren is not a manager but he is a top coach. Problem is I can't see JFH letting him anywhere near his squad. Although it would make a big difference because McClaren knows how to set up a team. He's just not very good at managing on game days. |  |

He won the Eredivisie once with Twente, in 2010. His return in 2012 was not a success.
On the basis of (first) success with Twente he moved to Wolfsburg in 2010 and has since stumbled from job to job.
His period with us as a coach was his best period since Twente. |  |
