lets give him a chance, he's got 3 years.
reckons he has'nt shown us half of what he can do.......or can't do.

Poll: how many games this season....home/away.

I`m in the minority but i think he`s quite a good player when he plays simple a one/two pass football.

All transfers are a risk. This one is less risky than some others we have undertaken.

We need to unite behind him, for sure as anything, it won't go well if we don't.

I also think there is a player in there that we have seen occasional glimpses of and share Clive's optimism for Amos going forward.

I'm pleased about this.

Decent bit of business if you ask me even though you probably didn't.

Welcome Luke

Happy with this. Thought we were done with him after him and Kakay let Diangana scoot by during the West Brom match, but I think Warburton is very keen to have Amos permanently, and I've talked myself in it.

Ditto - I gave him a bit of stick regarding his attitude without considering his horrible injury and the effect it may have had. There is a player in there, for sure.

With his future now settled I think this will be the season he will show us what he can do.

I think there's great potential in Amos. He did have some poor games as everyone did, but none of us know how hard it is to come back from an ACL.
Trusting Warbs on this one, and at the reported price, it's a good buy.
Remember, Hall was seen as a nothing signing with several unimpressive loan spells behind him, while both Andros Townsend and Harry Kane had multiple loans in the championship and lower before they blossomed.
I think Amos has all the tools to be a really good player - hope he can step it up next season.

Bare bones.

I always wonder how much influence the loaning club has on position player plays in, training regime, diet, fitness (speed v muscle) etc etc. To me he needs to boss the midfield so needs to go on a Sir Les Steak diet and put on some bulk.

Trust in Warburton. He'll mould him into a great signing for us.

Some rare agreement between us. He is ballast.

ballast
/ˈbaləst/

heavy material, such as gravel, sand, or iron, placed in the bilge of a ship to ensure its stability.
"the QPR midfield had insufficient ballast"

I like him, and think he has a high ability ceiling

Remove the context and it's

"Under a million for a midfielder who pre injury was on the cusp of the Spurs team and successfully rehabbed for a full season in the championship last year"

Would you fancy that deal? I would

I've been hoping we'd get this done but didn't think it would be for peanuts. That's damn good business.

Looking forward to seeing how he progresses.

Perhaps I’m not good as judging players as the majority on here but from what I’ve seen he looks like a reincarnation of Matthew Rose

And Bowles is onside, Swinburne has come rushing out of his goal , what can Bowles do here , onto the left foot no, on to the right foot That’s there that’s two, and that’s Bowles Brian Moore

Encouraging in his interview that he also acknowledges that we didn’t see the best of him last season. Now that he is ours and with a season under his belt, I expect the levels of commitment to ramp up significantly.

I don't think that's a horrible comparison, and Rose had an awful habit of only finding form when hos contract was nearly up. But at times he was very decent. Hmm... that last sentence does sound like Rosie.

I think/hope Amos has a much bigger upside.

Bare bones.

Hmmm... Warburton seems to have a taste for technical powder puff centre mids.

I'd have taken him on a free, that's it.
