Unbiased, well balanced analysis of the game. Jones is still a joy to listen to. No opinionated side tracked nonsense like most of his modern day contempories . Just good old fashioned commentary.

I was pleasantly surprised to hear Ron Jones on holiday a couple of years ago. I hadn't noticed him going missing, but I really enjoy listening to him call a game. Only John Murray and Conor McNamara of the current lot match him. Amazed that Irish radio covered games that didn't involve either Liverpool or United though.

Today FM cover all Premier League games on a Saturday with commentary on one game and updates on Championship games.Man Utd and Liverpool aren't always featured, though the phone ins after the games are invariably swamped by fans of said clubs. so it's time to switch off or do something else.
I quite like listening to Today FMs commentary, which unlike BBC 5 Live isn't constantly interrupted by updates on golf, rugby or horse racing etc. That is so bloody annoying imo.
