Morning Bosh, i'm the Patreon Tech guy for Clive how are you attempting to access the patreon - are you using the Patreon app on a smart device, or just clicked the link above on a laptop browser? are you signed in as a patreon member or just accessing as a guest? Seems to be working this end across multiple formats / devices, so don't think it's a global issue with the video - send me a DM if you'd like me to troubleshoot with you?

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 07:54 - Oct 7 with 3227 views | A40Bosh | Ok, so if I scroll down through the notification email past the listen now box there is then a Loft for words link which then opens the Patreon website in a different format and it has sound mate. Just pressing listen now doesn’t anymore. Thanks Liam | |

Thanks Liam, i think i've managed to replicate the issue from the email link - for some reason (not by design!) when you click the 'listen now' link it plays the video but muted - you can unmute it by clicking on the sound trumpet within the video itself, you don't need to change your laptop sound settings. (in case helpful for anyone else) not sure why it does that, certainly not a settingwe're put in place.

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 08:51 - Oct 7 with 2976 views | thehat | Thanks Clive - Really enjoyed that. I am very happy with JS and pleased he signed a new contract. He brings the stability we have been missing for years and will go on to greater things for sure. Pleased to hear Kone is back in training especially with Burrell out for a few weeks. Looks like Kolli will be given his chance in the next few games hope he takes it. The club continues to move in the right direction albeit with bumps along the way. | | | |

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 09:12 - Oct 7 with 2862 views | 1BobbyHazell | Thanks Clive, that was a great listen with some 'top' questions. I've become a big JS fan and I think he speaks really well. In depth, honest, intelligent, exploratory answers with little cliche and no bullsh1t. All in his second language! Whatever the story/history behind the Kolli situation may be he is very clear where it stands now. I really liked the straight up nature of his reply/stance and I take him at his word. It is clearly up to Kolli to shape up, get his head down and make the most of his talent. The kind of football we are playing now is made for him, and our current combination of high number of chances created with under performing XG is crying out for someone who can strike a ball like he does. Come on son, are you up for it? Absolutely love the whole 'standards' thing. Clearly more than just empty words. There will be no exemptions. Good. Listening to him you can really see how his philosophical and psychological understanding and his ability to convey it to the players must play a huge part in the uptick of the quality and bravery we are showing on the ball this season. Getting them to trust themselves and the process, knowing results will come off that All with a lot of determination, belief and good old fashioned fight thrown in. Marvellous. Very pleased to have him here. West Ham 3 QPR 0 | | | |

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 10:16 - Oct 7 with 2594 views | dmm | Thanks very much Clive. Stephan is, as many managers are, very good at giving answers without providing straight up information that he wants to keep to himself. Nonetheless, I liked your questions and there were positive replies from Julien with, as he might say himself, good personality. | | | |
| Julien Stéphan Interview on 11:01 - Oct 7 with 2415 views | nix | Excellent interview. Enough frankness from Stephan that you learn a bit about him and his philosophy without throwing people under the bus. I like him and I can see why players might respect him. He’s actually quite funny at times too. | | | |

He does it a lot, a lot, a lot…. I’m a big Francophile though. Years of sighing over Alain Delon and thinking how sophisticated sitting in French cafes seemed back in the day compared to our Wimpys caffs! Think he likes Clive and Conor though and appreciates them not asking daft questions.
| Julien Stéphan Interview on 11:17 - Oct 7 with 2337 views | Northernr | He's clearly a lot more settled, comfortable and confident than he was when I last spoke with him, which is understandable given the timing. | | | |
| Julien Stéphan Interview on 11:32 - Oct 7 with 2264 views | BrianMcCarthy | Could listen to him all day. I'm on the fence about whether Kolli's situation requires so much airing, though. No matter what Stéphan, or anyone else says, it leaves more gaps for conjecture and supposition among the fanbase. | |

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 12:54 - Oct 7 with 1880 views | Wilkinswatercarrier | A top coach and that is clear by making average players better. He comes across as calm.and intelligent and is just the sort of manager we have needed for years. The players clearly like him and have bought into his ideas, those that don't (yes you Kolli) are given short shrift. Love it. Standards, standards, standards. Just what we have wanted to hear. | |

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 13:18 - Oct 7 with 1785 views | vanrrrr | Cheers Clive… very enjoyable and encouraging listen. Feel we are lucky to have JS at the helm. Like others have said the emphasis on standards is music to the ears. It’s not a good week or two it is consistent hight standards- like they say, good players are good players all the time. If we instill that we will be better off and it will also be the making of some young players. Your French stripey T shirt a nice touch too. | | | |

I wish he would stop referring to "top, top, top players." Triggers my Monsieur Redknapp PTSD. Mind you, Arry never went as far as the four "tops" that JS gave Lamine Yamal. He must be a top ,top, top, top player

| Julien Stéphan Interview on 13:41 - Oct 7 with 1667 views | Myke | Cheers Clive, intelligent questions answered intelligently. Two things (and I hear you Brian re Kolli) I think separating injuries from players selection is very telling. At the moment, the blatantly obvious one is Kolli and I would not expect to see him make the match day squad v West Ham. But it also does not spell the end of his QPR career either. JS has been very clear, but also very clever, it is 100% down to the player if he gets included or not. On the flip side of that, the ‘Standards’ thing is very interesting. JS can impose strict standards on Kolli, as he is on the peripheral of things. But what happens if Dunne lets his standards slip, or Edward’s, or Charles? You can argue that is never going to happen, but that is not my point. If JS is serious about driving up standards (which is music to my ears) then it must be applied to the most important /popular player too, as well as the dispensable. | | | |
| Julien Stéphan Interview on 13:41 - Oct 7 with 1664 views | Stainrod | Well done for getting the interview and bringing us this Clive. I suspect you would like to have followed-up a few questions but appreciate there was no doubt a strict time limit and much to get through. Encouraging injuries to Burrell and Kone not as bad as some doomsday suggestions. He talks quite obliquely (partly its language I guess, although his English is now much improved). What I took from this (but might be misreading stuff): 1) He isn't too concerned about not being able to win games with more than half the possession. He is more interested in getting lots of intense/ attacking "big moments" when we might score. And also, it's a work in progress - so we have also tightened up the defence and can't do everything at once. He has a point, but personally I still think this is a big problem if it means we will struggle to win a lot of home games against poor sides (which should be our "bankers"). 2) He gets that the game has changed. But fundamentally he remains a purist and wants us to play a (more basic version) of Spain's game than rush into doing what the likes of City have done. Oddly tho that doesn't seem to quite line up with what we are actually doing? 3) "Standards" (however defined) are his big benchmark. Seemed pretty clear on this one: Kone although struggling tries to hit those standards, Kolli hasn't done consistently enough (though some encouraging signs the last fortnight). 4) He is not boxing himself in to setting any meaningful targets he can actually be judged against, ie a specific league position. In this he is like most managers, not wanting to put pressure on himself or players. 5) Doesn't seem massively confident about the next run of games, but is probably sensible asking us to look to the horizon and not get too wound up by any individual losses. 6) Denies there is a specifically "QPR" aspect to our injuries - other than signing a few players who lacked proper pre-season. Jury probably still out on this one. [Post edited 7 Oct 13:43]
