welwynhoop added 17:20 - Nov 25 Was wondering if anyone else thought Scholes was lucky to not get sent off? Commentator thought there were 2 bookable offences in the first 10 minutes. Fingers crosses for Tuesday. Shame Arsenal and Newcastle didn't do us any favours this weekend. francisbowles added 18:38 - Nov 25 Just heard that Dave Sexton has died aged 82. He was one of our greatest managers with our 75-76 "champions for 10 days" and our first European campaign. Gerry Francis even tried to bring him back as a coach during his second managerial spell. On this weekend when we played another of his former teams Man U. those of us who are old enough will remember his achievements and what he did for our club. Genuine condolences to his family and may he rest in peace. kingfisher added 19:56 - Nov 25 Bringing back the likes of Mackie, Hill & Derry added more metal into the team. Did so well right up until Anton Ferdinand came on. As soon as I saw him ready to come on at 1-0 up, I knew we would lose. 2 mins after he came on, Utd scored.....5 mins later we were 3-1 down. He really excelled himself this time! :-) I don't like to knock players, but still don't know why we let Gorkks go and replaced him with Anton Ferdinand. He has been one of the worse players I have ever seen in the Premier League and at QPR. Send him out on loan to League 1 or 2. Don't think he would get in a Championship team. Crazy, that all the money we have spent on players and it's the old guard that give us the most effort and are most effective. Hill is too slow at full back but still a great centre back for us. No fuss or ego, just gives his all. Like Merson said, he will run through walls for you. winchesterbob added 08:55 - Nov 26 Continuation from QPR against slightly better opposition. Toons hardly had a sniff against a very good Saints team effort. difficult to choose a MOM. Football played the way we all like it....very slick. LostBoys added 09:57 - Nov 26 MelakaRanger added 22:05 - Nov 27 Just watched live on TV 6am here Not the team selection I expected but at least we kept a clean sheet. Sunderland were a poor team yet we were pretty toothless once we got to the 18 yd box. I never saw us as dangerous once we had the ball. I just cant see where any goals will come from I thought we played better on Saturday But its a point. Its a start and now on to a win on Saturday AussieRs added 22:37 - Nov 27 Like MelakaRanger, watched it early here. Dire game. Guardian's MBM report descended into long discussion about worst games ever watched which gives some indication.... Glad somebody told Harry about Samba quick enough to get him off. We clearly need somebody to put the ball in the net, tho Djib all alone for long periods. Granero's passing has been poor over past few weeks. Where was Faurlin? Mbia starting to look almost YaYa like. Another great effort from Mackie. NEED SOME GOALS. newgolddream added 22:39 - Nov 27 A solid start for QPR and Harry. A clean sheet away from is always very welcome. Massive game at W12 on Saturday next. Come on u R's!!! ozranger added 23:25 - Nov 27 I got to watch this from work. I must say I was starting to fall asleep at times. Our boys were playing the ball at an incredibly slow pace. When Sunderland woke up in the final few minutes we were punished for this. Cannot disagree with what has already been said.. we need someone to finish for us. There was also a lot of walking around instead of chasing, ala Mackie. Why was SWP brought on instead of Hoilett? I also cannot understand why Mbia was moved to the midfield, even though he had a decent game there, when he was doing real well and enjoying himself at right back. Bosingwa again showed why he is incapable of playing at this level, unable to win any balls (did he not watch the game last week?). SonofNorfolt added 23:39 - Nov 27 Normally a decent point, but, they were there for the taking. I'll bet Hughes must be shaking his head.
