Freeman was just stood around on the edge of the area marking no one and only reacted when their player received the ball. He is as much to blame as Pav.
In fact, in direct comparison to Eze and Cairney on the pitch, two other playmakers, Freeman looks very poor.
A good dead ball man (hence the assists), but nowhere near as good as some think. He is having a really poor game and I am getting sick of just how long he holds on to the ball.

Agree, Dav. Freeman isn't retaining possession, and in a 4 man midfield, he's getting caught way too high up the pitch. Look where he is for Cairney's goal! He was nearer the half way line. He's central midfield in a 4, and the bloke who scores is one of their midfielders! He began the game by giving it away the first 3 times he touched it.
He is clearly a good player, with a touch of class. But I do feel he is nowhere near his best form. Here's hoping that changes soon. |  | | |

Been impressed with the boys against a superior team. Plenty of negatives but theres always going to be no matter what system you play in a case like this. The fact we are still in the game is commendable. Dont think we could have done any more. |  |
