I'd still like Steve to continue until the end of this season though, and then if no major change around, i'd like a complete root and branch clear out starting with Evil Les, and working down.
If we go down we will need to cut the deadwoood drastically, and you mnow what? i wouldnt be afraid of that prospect. Cut the wage bill hugely, get rid of as many players as you can, and keep the guys currently on loan and youth team players......hell its money wasted if we dont keep these guys and give them a chance to perform next season, as sure as eggs is eggs, this team, bar 1 or 2 have gone off the boil.
if 98% of our money goes on wages, cut the wages, cut the deadwoood, cut those responsible, and wipe the slate clean, then start again.
It might come to pass anyway, but a plan needs to be in place just in case, or the next major stop for the club is non league! |  |

This, 100 times this. Why oh why is there always a clamouring to bring back an ex player because they 'know' the club. What we need is a clean slate from top to bottom, and that's best done with someone who has no history with this club, but one who rather wants to make his own history. We've got players on loan who will not be here next season, we've got players out on loan who'll probably not want to come back, we're under a transfer embargo, we're skint and on top of that the only two players who are any good will almost inevitability be sold at the end of the season and the other players we've got on a contract are basically shit.
