Theres always one 🙄

Leave it out.
Someone commented he’s not really nasty and I thought nutting Grant was a bit nasty.
Then I wondered if there was nothing happening about that incident.
No big deal so don’t get ur knickers in a twist

Would we all say he is one of the best QPR strikers of all time after Les Ferdinand and maybe clive allen

I would say he's better than Kevin gallen although Gallen has legendary status with us

That performance from Chaz is right up there with the 2nd leg playoff game against Wigan.

OK, that deserves a response and I was the one you were responding to.

Obviously I've never met the guy (hence "I think" in my OP) but there' s quite a bit of evidence off the pitch that e.g. Joey Barton or John Terry are pretty unpleasant characters. Back in the day Vinnie Jones was the same, and Alan Mc showed him up as a coward as well as a bully on it. Roy Keane just appears to be crazy. I don't think Austin's like any of those.

I was thinking about the Hall incident when I said Austin could be "a bit naughty" on the pitch because I think it needs acknowledging when we're singing his praises. But it seems to me that with Austin it's part of the competitiveness and when the match ends it's all over.

And while the Hall incident wasn't clever in any sense, the fact is that to win you need a bit of that hyper-competitiveness and willingness to cross the odd line. I don't think Austin controls that as well as say de Wijs does but with so many nice lads in the team I'm afraid you need a bit of it.

(I don't think Dykes has it at all, bless him, though Chair seems to have a little bit of the street-fighter in him.)

Something else that may have been missed by lots last night. Right down by the corner Flag (Lower Loft/ER corner) Everton player sliced/booted one out in the crowd, big 'Wheeeyyy" from the fans and Chaz just looking at the player with a OTT laugh at him!

I think he has that 'wind up' streak as a player and would lmagine if he was 'mic'ed' up for a game you would hear lots and lots of 'banter' against other players!!

So pleased he got two last night. QPR legend.

It was Digne, this is what Charlie said about it:

"In the first half he was on about me fouling him and he just turned around and said ‘how many caps you got?’ I had a little giggle to myself and I didn’t mind it. Then in the second half the ball came over the top and took about six or seven seconds to come down, he went to control it and shinned it out of play. I just laughed in his face.”

The return of Charlie has been key to our change in fortune, both on and off the field. When he was at West Brom he just didn't look fit, he now looks re-born and he just loves scoring important goals. All good for us.

I thought that was odd Brian. Think Everton won the toss so chose ends, so surely we would have the choice to go first.

Surprised if Barbet opted to go second.

There are two coin tosses.

Ref does one for ends and then there is one to decide who has pick of 1st or 2nd.

Now, I'm in a minority here, but I always think it's an advantage, and a big one, to be taking pens towards the away fans. Taking them in front of your own fans is added pressure, all those expectant faces. I really think it's better to be taking them against a load of people trying to put you off, much easier to concentrate the mind. Always thought it and would love to see the stats on it as I've seen loads of shoot outs where the team shooting in front of their fans have lost.
Taking first is statistically a pretty big advantage i think, and i think that goes to psychology too - you're always taking to stay in the game, rather than to take the lead.

A subtle point for the seriously anal out there.

Referee will say Heads home end, Tails away end - you don't actually win the toss and get a choice, unlike the one for 1st or 2nd, where you CAN choose to go 2nd if you win.

This refereeing lark is bloody complicated, isn’t it?

Did I ever mention that I was in Minder?

Yeah, sometimes he is a bit naughty on the pitch but there's no real nastiness (I think) and he's got that bit of vinegar in him which we'd lack otherwise and you need on nights like these.

Bloody good goals too and 90 mins played, which answers a few whingers on Twitter.

What a legend - fantastic display, two great finishes and yes, he stayed on for 90 mins, but being picky, he looked like he was blowing after about 70. We won, so Warbs got it right, but I thought we'd regret taking Chair off instead of Austin, but maybe there was a lot in the fact that we need Chair, Willock and others on Friday, whereas we can easily rest Chaz now we have Dykes or Gray to play in his place.

Tuesday was probably his best game this season; at times, it looks like "all" he can do is score. I have no problem with that; for years of watching Matt Smith, who had less movement and scored less often.

Great signing and its ace just how much he loves playing for us...

Can we go out yet?
