About to go dark before watching it at home tonight. Worth pointing out the latest TV deal, how does he do it? Talk of expanding the salary cap from $12m to $20m a side, surely they’ll buy SuperLeague as a farm system.

I think Leeds were so shook by that horrible Levi injury they just took their eye off the ball.
Saints and Rovers both playing poorly but I suspect my lot will give the scum their usual leg up

Well after the disaster of 2024 the whole point of bringing Cartwright in for 2025 was he was going to absolutely beast them with an NRL-style pre-season. And he did. We were the first back, got all the imports over before Christmas, absolutely caned it and caught a load of teams cold in the first of the year - won at Leigh, Wigan, Catalans etc.
Back half of the year we basically ran out of gas because we only, really, had 13 players. No depth beyond that, because we'd been so terrible previously. So around August time I would have probably said, okay, improvement banked, but we're going to take people like Pryce, Asiata, Esse Esse out of the fire now and gear up for next season.
Instead Cartwright had this bloody obsession with playing "finals footy". We beat Salford something like 80-0 at ours, and he had Pryce and Asiata out there with hamstring injuries strapped up. By the end the whole team was dead on its feet and injured. Even if we had qualified for the play offs we'd just have been annihilated in week one.
We then had 13 players requiring surgery in the winter. So you couldn't do a pre-season, and some players really, really needed one. Lo and behold, 14 players injured this year, Pryce does his ACLK in week two, Asiata pings his hamstring in week six.
It's been an absolute disaster, and it's why Cartwright got the sack. I mean just look at the state of Esse Esse, Jesus. | | | |

What the hell is going on in the Cowboys v Roosters game! |
I just caught up with the Roosters highlights (great to have them back on Watch NRL). They’ve been sensational in attack the last few weeks but that was another level. It’s not as if they were playing the Dragons or Tigers, NQ were great the week before against Brisbane. Cronulla were similarly merciless against Manly last week, there are some great sides at the moment. | | | |

Not been a great weekend for the Bunker down here.
Missed knock ons for tries for Bulldogs and Panthers. (Bulldogs one took 3 minutes to get wrong).
Dragons screwed over against the Dolphins by a knock on not noticed then touch judges not noticing Walshs conversion going between the posts and them taking about 5 goes to see if it had gone over.

Great night tonight with Wahs and Panthers and Roosters v Bulldogs.
Yeah Titans are a weird bunch. Seemingly put in so the other 16 sides can have a jolly in Surfers Paradise for the weekend. Only ground where they have an away fan merchandise at their ground. Like away teams going to Selhurst Park in Wimbledon days.

I, for one, was delighted that Hull won last night!
As a Wakefield fan (although I've never seen them apart from on television), I'm still looking to ensure being in the top six rather than top four/top two! My choice of RL club was glory hunting, as back in the early 60's I saw the Cup Final live on Grandstand & preferred the name Trinity to Huddersfield. How was I to know that the Fox's wouldn't last forever & that a quarter of the next century would have passed before they have a side to compare?
