as a bit of a joke, instead of walking down Bloomfontein Avenue to get to Ellerslie Road, I said to my son that (in a pathetic effort to change our fortunes), I would walk along Bloemfontein Road rather than Avenue, and he decided to walk on the other side than we usually along Avenue. And, of course, it worked, so it is all down to my new lucky routine. Can anyone else stake that sort of claim, or was it all down to us two?

When you put it like that, it's a minor miracle. To score a goal and keep a clean sheet in the same match? It's asking a helluva lot. I'm not sure it'll happen again this year.

I've found that there's definitely a difference when you have sex before rather than after a match (never during).

I should say by that I mean sex with another person.

Before the Liverpool game at the start of that home run that kept us up in or first season back in the Prem, I got chips from the chippie and backed us to lose 2-0 in the pre match Quids In. I did it for every home game on that run of 5 home wins on the spin. You're welcome.
