The chap running the T20 Mascot Race as Pinky for Middlesex on Saturday at Edgbaston was a QPR fan. Which made two QPR fans running the mascot race with me as Charlie Fox for Leicestershire.
Which I am taking to assume we were the best supported football club in the race...
He filmed the race on a GoPro camera, just after 42 seconds I can see my fox self coming past on the way into the ball pit, and then again us trying to clamber out of it...
Is quite a funny viewing.

Cannot believe we decided to bowl today, I was going to call-in this afternoon but far too hot, I’ll be there tomorrow and Thursday though for the later sessions….I always see Rs fans at middx games, anyone from here going?

I love Super Tim, but there is only one reason you win the toss and bowl first on the hottest day in UK history, with blue skies and a flat track at Lord’s…and it involves money.
As a pure cricket decision it is utterly inexplicable.

Middlesex are a mess at the minute.
Am I right in thinking that Middlesex were the only team today to choose to bowl?

Given the weather that day I can't imagine anything worse!!
Ahhh to be honest it was huge amounts of fun, I loved every minute of it. They also send you out the long way around the ground back to the changing areas after the race (including walking past the Hollies on the pitch, although they were all very generous with their applause) so you spend the most amount of time possible mixing with all the fans in your suits - you get stopped for so many photos, selfies, high-5s, group photos etc...I'm never normally going to have people queuing up for photos with me so I made sure I milked every possible minute out of it

Great stuff! Doing it again next year?
Have to admit I thought there were a few heat exhaustion casualties there!

Sorry Chef I missed this one as I was away at the weekend sans internet.
I was only there as a stand-in so I suspect the chance may not come around again. If it does I'd do it in a heartbeat though! Glad I got to do it once at the very least.
Re heat exhaustion - Lanky the Giraffe required First Aid - the Sky footage is quite awkward viewing really as the guy obviously needs a bit of help and everyone ignores him. Although he got a second wind and sprinted to the finish, he then collapsed at the finish line and got carted off to the medics station.
