“Southampton have won all five games they’ve had with this referee, QPR are 1-1-2 from four”.

That sort of statement worries me. Yes, they won a lot the last time they were down at this level, and five isn’t the biggest sample size, but it’s still unusual. Something sub conscious going on? Neighbours who support them? Bournemouth had amazing results with Stroud over a sample size about 3x as big, and didn’t he live in the area but was registered as a Luton (?) fan?

Poor old Sinclair basically wasn’t allowed to move without a free kick being given.

More likely a coincidence he’s reffed five wins for them in seasons they’ve typically won more than they haven’t. He was the classic homer that day though.
