Peel holdings were going to build us a nice new ground at Pilsworth, but someone fell, the dog ate Stewies homework and it ended up an IKEA instead!

On 14 Ocotber 2015 the Football League stated (along with all other FL regulations in a very long document)
16 Clubs’ Financial Records
16.1 All Clubs shall keep their financial records in accordance with the provisions of The Football Association Rules and The League may arrange for an inspection of all such books.
16.2 Each Club shall submit a copy of its Annual Accounts (as defined in Regulation 16.3 below) to The League, but in any event:
16.2.1 by no later than 1st March following the end of the financial year to which those Annual Accounts relate (in the case of a Championship Club); or
16.2.2 by no later than the date on which the Club is required to file its accounts at Companies House (in case of League One and League Two Clubs).
16.3 For the purposes of this Regulation 16, Annual Accounts means the annual accounts in respect of the Club’s most recent financial year (such accounts to be prepared and audited in accordance with applicable legal and regulatory requirements) together with a copy of the directors’ report for that year and a copy of the auditor’s report (if any) on those accounts.
16.6 The League shall have the powers set out in Regulation 16.7 if:
16.6.1 the Club has failed to submit to The League the Annual Accounts as required by Regulation 16.2;
16.7 The powers referred to in Regulation 16.6 are:

The auditors won't be satisfied regarding the going concern principle (I doubt anyone is surprised by that). More losses, external income virtually non-existent and our last two home games are the hardly money spinning pair of Millwall (police bill) and Southend.
Added to the fact the Season Ticket letter was used to have a pop at "negative fans", I don't think there's a big rush renew.

The year before SD/GT took over we made a loss of around 730k. Now we have an estimated loss of 2.5m for the last accountancy year. And an estimated 1.5m for the following year. But as we have no published accounts, who knows for sure.
We have more mysteries than an episode of Scooby Doo.
To mention one, what's happened to the car park investment scheme? It was meant to be raising money for the club using one of the few assets we actually have. In the last set of questions to GT (whoops, I've done it again...) someone asked how much the club made from the scheme and whether the investors have been paid their return. GT replied "Mederco leased the car park from BFC and BFC has no liabilities for any of the on going liabilities. Therefore BFC has no information re Mederco"
That completely ignores the question. What did the club make from the scheme? How much did Mederco pay Bury FC for the lease? £1? £100,000?
The sole director of Mederco - as you know (and GT admitted) - is Stewart Day. Rather odd then that "BFC has no information re Mederco".
What are FB doing to find the facts out about this scheme? Anything?
Day is on Monday night with Jimmy Wagg - hopefully he is put on the spot about such issues and gives an explanation as to why accounts are still to be forthcoming? | |

What a sorry episode, the Club stinks to high heaven. It amazes me how the overwhelming majority of supporters just let things bob along, they should be knocking down the Churs door demanding answers.
They need to start making a proper noise and getting their voices heard, are they scared of the big lump? We had to face Coleman in his own back yard, not a nice prospect because i wouldn't like to fight him,but the meeting took place ( credit to Coleman for allowing that meeting) and we all looked each other in the eye and had our say. I read that BFC's car park (allegedly) has been "leased" to Mr Day's company, it would seem Mederco, for the next 24 years. It was said 2 million pounds was received from the car park (by Merderco ?) but whether any accounts exist to prove what the figure was who knows
Merderco will no doubt be making a profit out of scheme as long as they don't go bust when it comes to having to pay back to investor's their interest and original amount umpteen years from now,. Wow much BFC are making from this transaction by 'leasing' the car park is another matter | | | |
