It's not so much the losing, more the frustration about team selections and the feeling that we could do much better with the players we have.

Apart from Henderson I would swap all of our current squad for the playoff final reaching squad of 2008 and that was a league two squad.

Sounds like he lost the ball and they went on to score.

As a defensive unit I think we have decent individual players. But conceding as often as we do is alarming and just screams to me that they're not being coached well enough.

Any idea who we'd replace hilly with if they did get rid / if he walks????
Plenty of people want him gone, especially when we lose but you never see a name mentioned as to who could replace him.

James, we've conceded 3 goals in a game for the 8th time in 18 matches this season.

Do you think that is by any means acceptable?

Of course not but I do think some are pleased when we lose

With that result against their nearest relegation rivals, it'd be more like a "bad day at the orifice"

Wouldn’t say some fans are pleased when we lose, but they’re all too quick to use a defeat to back up their opinion.

Aye. If there’s a consistency in opinion despite results it carries more weight. I’m my, er, opinion.

Not right minded ones you are absolutely correct.

I just envisage that some sit getting excited when we are losing, fingers twitching ready to vent on social media. I know there are issues with the amount of goals conceded but the negativity is so depressing

Interesting to hear Leon Mike on co-commentary highlighting the shortcomings we’re all fully aware of, and that on what is presumably his first viewing of us this season.

Thought he was a decent contributor.....no biased comments just saying what he saw and it was n't good.

He questioned the subbing of Inman and "shoreing up the midfield" to see the game out and the man tasked with the job gifts the Shrews with a goal and the 3 points within minutes.

He said on at least 3 occasions that Rochdale had only themselves to blame for the result.

I hate seeing dale lose, if we can’t have a moan on here, it’s a poor do. I didn’t go today , sounds like the same old errors, the buck stops with Hill, I get it that we have no divine right to win, but they are not a good team, and are in turmoil. People on here said we had a tough start, and we would see where we are when we start playing lesser teams. We cannot defend

It might be that Hill has tanked also might be time to accept surviving in League 1 is as good as it will get. Hill will get another chance in the next window to remedy the defensive mistakes, a bigger question is will he remedy his own mistakes.

This is not the time for bickering.

Like I said to Dale23years what are your expectations of this squad? Playoffs? Mid table? Survival? Relegation dogfight?

Comfortable mid table but yes quite possibly a play off push if everyone firing on all cylinders and in correct positions. We probably lack a centre half/leader, a quality keeper and a right full back that can cross a ball in terms of a squad that would be expected to genuinely be in with a shout of a play off place
