Agree he looks an excellent keeper - signed from Slough at the start of the month on a deal til the end of the season. Might be worth looking at - commanded his box, caught cross after cross and pulled off some great saves. | | | |

Yes quite agree.
York didn't do the passing around sideways at the back bit..tended to have their midfielders driving forward effectively.
Final ball often poor..well defended by Gateshead defenders .

Thinking on to all the various possible outcomes, as we seem to do every few days, this doesn't change a great deal in terms of how we need to approach the rest of our games.
Working on the basis that York will win their next five games any points dropped on our side will mean it goes to the last game (at best).
Without sounding negative I can't see us not dropping any points before we play them so, I suspect, we will need more dropped points from York to avoid that horrible last day scenario! | | | |

Lots of football still to be played and last night showed just how quickly a pendulum can swing.
Dale need to keep up the relentless winning habit and tonight will be a good measure of the sides metal as well as physical state.
A win tonight would be huge.. there is no getting away from that. The pressure it would heap on York to win 5/5 before the Dale game massive.
The players will know… if they can’t run through walls tonight for the shirt and the fans they never will. I have no doubt they will they have been brilliant all season and deserve this second chance of going 5 points clear at the top of the National League.. The game plan will not change …. Hear hear, tonight is the biggest game of the season so far; a win would really put York under it and give us that little bit of space to vent some pressure into.
We're already setting up shop at the Czech Dale fanclub headquarters, just hope we score any/all goals before the junior member falls asleep so I can roar the lads on.
