But for the York fans they must be happy to be 2 points ahead basically requiring 1 draw from their next 2 games and a win against Dale to win the league.
However if it comes to that final game decider memories of last years failure in the play offs will certainly come to mind for them.

Never done it before!
The closest we've come in more 'recent' times was in 2006/07, when we finished with wins at Mansfield and at home to Macclesfield & Hartlepool, followed by a final day draw at Peterborough.
But as you say, this team has broken a lot of records this season, so hopefully there's time for at least one more. |

We should have to depend on Tamworth or focus on York results over the next two games, we must win the next three, draws are useless. It is possible, but McNulty needs to get the team to attack with pace and shoot at every opportunity, rather passing sideways.
Nevertheless I be praying that Tamworth does us a favour by denying York a win, but at the end of the day, it is up to us to get the results we need. Yes, we can do it, but the team and management must approach the games without fear and in the knowledge that they are more then capable of winning the next three games. [Post edited 10 Apr 12:22]

Around 7pm last night there would have been some Champagne getting chilled over in York.
Let their over confidence continue to sweep through the club. That will suit Dale down to the ground.
It’s still a decent sized If.. but IF Dale are within 2 points come 19.30 on Saturday It would be absolutely fine for Dale to be dismissed as the York promotion party spoilers.
