Some people are just bad in front of camera, especially if they haven't don't a lot of interviews, which at this age he likely has. Most young players entry interviews aren't great likely due to confidence, it isn't necessarily anything to do with attitude or manners.

Ramming has played 17 times apparently for Swedish National age groups so will be interesting to see if he is as good as that would suggest. Perhaps Wilson was a bit unhappy to have missed out on a trip to Spain,unlss they are being flown out to join up with the rest of the squad.

The interview was a few days ago by the look of it as it mentioned him going to Spain.
He was the player I saw in the airport on Thursday morning with Mani D and Bilongo who I didn't recognise. Mani was an absolute credit as you would expect, especially considering he was harassed by a young kid and he had been up early to get to the airport.

Kaiden Wilson seemed a bit nervous, which could be the case, when meeting new team mates and in an unfamiliar surroundings, he did actually smile in the interview and mention getting to know the team in Spain. Crucially he is only 20, so does not impact on the regulations (aged 22 or above) on only having 22 outfield players in the registered first team squad. Interestingly he can play in different across the defence, a bit like Keohane.
Nils Ramming seem confident and like Whatmuff may be seen as a good prospect by Brighton by his contract, in the same way City rates Whatmuff. Hopefully he will be as successful as Whatmuff and it makes you wonder, if we are developing a good reputation in developing goalkeepers.
Hopefully we will recruit a number 2 keeper and additional players to ensure are strong to survive in our return to the EFL

Nils is 19 1/2 years old. That’s a bit old for a Dale keeper these days. Note Frankfurt’s seconds are in the fourth tier of German football, and he did well enough there for BHA to offer him a decent contract. He is 6ft 4. All of which is encouraging. Lillies should be well motivated to coach him as he appears to have plenty of potential. Wilson is quick right footed and,at youth level at least, comfortable on the ball with a decent passing range. He looks tailor made as a right back option for us. I was getting a bit anxious about signings but”everything comes to those that wait”. Happy Welcome lads if you are good enough you can flourish here.

Much too harsh Whitworth, he a young lad for goodness sake. Admittedly, he comes across as being a bit serley however, he said all the right things. In my opinion, whatever has displeased you is a result of a combination of nerves (arms folded, classic anxiety ), lack of interview technique and inexperience. I suspect that he was chomping at the bit to come on loan to The Dale; having read your post, he's most likely now wishing that he hadn't!

If we’re doing interviews with players for social media it has to be assumed that a deal has been completed and everything is sorted. Especially as it’s when they’re about to start training.
Which makes any delay it releasing that news to supporters unacceptable unless it’s caveated with a suitable explanation.
It would be interesting to know the dates of all completed deals so far.
Was starting to get quite nervous about the lack of signings but 2 in 1 day definitely allay those fears for now.
It seems that we've now got 3 keepers in Spain? Waller and Spaven looking for contracts so will be interested to see how that dynamic plays out in the short term.
A couple more attacking options and I think we'll be alright until we know more about how this team develops.

With all due respect, you're missing the point. I haven't judged his playing style at all. I criticised his total lack of enthusiasm, which is absolutely fair game. In fact it’s not just fair game but, IMO important, as it plays into team spirit.
If a player gave a similarly lethargic interview after being called up for his country or signing for a bigger team, the PR department would have never aired the footage, as it could go viral for all the wrong reasons. Showing up to your first day acting like Big Keith from The Office is just a bad way to make a first impression. That’s what I’m getting at.
I’ll concede what others have reasonably suggested - he might just hate being on camera or be young. That’s a fair counter-argument.
But calling my observation a 'new low' is an ad hominem deflection and honestly I’d expect better from you. If you disagree with my view, debate the point. Feigning outrage to shut down an opinion you don't like defeats the purpose of a the' forum and thematic of wider issues with society and online exchanges). Though this forum kind of has a whiff of the Stasi about it from time to time when it comes to opinion policing, so I shouldn’t be surprised!

I know you weren't criticising his footballing ability, which none of us are yet familiar with. I never said you were, so apologies if it read that way.

Maybe a "new low" was the wrong choice of words, but it followed from an exchange on here last week involving the poster 'Trev', who decided to interject when I suggested to NorthernDale that we should wait to see players in action before deciding whether they are any good or not.
I just thought you were being harsh to a new, young player, that's all.

I'm not quite sure how you expect a young player from a Premier League club to respond to some pretty inane questions? Do you seriously think he should be "over the moon" about playing in L2 for a northern club, completely outside his life experience to date?
I get that we think we're pretty okay in the north, but your expectations are way out, from a Whitworth perspective. Just get real. If the lad plays as well as his pedigree suggests, no-one could give a f*ck how he comes across at interviews
