Even Neville can see it
by saint22 at 07:53 8 Dec 2019

Gary Neville, working on Sky Sports, agreed with Jamie Redknapp that racism was a societal and not just a football problem. The former United defender drew attention to Boris Johnson’s remarks on migration during the prime minister’s debate with Jeremy Corbyn on Friday, saying that comments such as these have “fuelled” the rise in racist incidents in recent years.

Burglars.
by this_charming_man at 23:00 7 Dec 2019

Had a chat with a few work mates yesterday about what we’d do if we caught a burglar. They were a bit shocked that my answer was grab the closest one, knee in the boll0cks to weaken and bite the nearest thing I could get my teeth into, neck, nose, ear whatever. I’m pretty comfident unless they had a gun I’d be able defend myself again a hammer, crow bar or knife, even if I couldn’t I’d make sure at least one of them got enough damage they’d think breaking into my house was something they’d regret for the rest of their lives. If there is more than one you need to make the rest think twice about coming any further. Ideally I think in a multiple assailant situation you’d want to bite the nose or ear off of one of them, possibly push their eyeball through as you get them into a hold, put them between you and the other attackers which would create enough noise and distance to panic them and for them to exit, if not any attack and you use their colleague as a human shield. By then your missus would have rung the police and you can take the one you have hostage, already ear/noseless, boil the kettle and put sugar in a cup that unless they give the names of their fellow robbers you will pour the boiling water and sugar over their face, eating it will stick to them and scar the, for life should they make it to the hospital alive.

Huddersfield Date Confirmed In FA Cup
by luffy22 at 19:28:58

The1st Saturday in January is the best sporting day in the calendar in my view, it should be left to play the FA cup 3rd round, every FA cup game 3pm on the Saturday. I would even go as to say no TV cameras are allowed that day it should be left for the fans who attend matches. Ever since I was a small lad it’s the day I looked forward to most, when the biggest teams join into the greatest cup competition in the world.

Is it time for Bournemouth to...

....recall all their dodgy 'Mind The Gap' tat and memorabilia, or are they simply toying with us? Anyone care to go out on a limb and say we will finish miles above them come the end of season?

I don’t follow boxing weekly but do go out for the big ones. Any tips or insights for tonight so I can say something that tricks someone at the pub into thinking I know what I’m talking about?

Manchester Derby
by DellHero at 14:21 7 Dec 2019

Surely the highlight of any footy fans’ season. I hope Ole keeps his job as his funny little accent makes me chuckle. Pep is great too. I love his baldy head look. It’s great to be able to watch big top 6 clubs showing us how it’s done. Thinking of heading along to the next Manchester Derby to get some of the atmosphere. Take some selfies.

I really hope that the club make a sensible decision in regard to pricing this game. More than £10 and £5 for concessions with kids at £1 and they could well have an almost embarrassing attendance. Let those who struggle to afford to be able to attend Premiership games have an opportunity.

Agents fees
by this_charming_man at 10:12 7 Dec 2019

Often used as one of the reasons why we have to seek to buy players, yet according to this our agents fees were one of the lower in the league last year. How can this be as most other clubs can afford to sign players without selling and also have higher agents fees than us?

Shane long

Out of contract in the summer, should we keep him?

The case against says says he’s a terrible finisher, doesn’t score anywhere near enough and misses a lot of good chances, he’s over 30 now so past his best, he’s also on an awful lot of money

The case for says he works very hard, must be a pain to play against, he’s an experienced player then club needs. A good character in the dressing room.
