well, you sell it to him by offering him more money than he was making at Ajax, and telling him he has a chance to push for a starting spot if not this year than almost certainly next year.

He would be my ideal Ash replacement. Really good footballing CD who will pass well and carry the ball out of defence. A tall good set piece defending/attacking CD as well plus a left back and we're sorted defensively. |  |

I look at it quite simply. We need 4 CB's. Bartley isn't good enough. Ideally anyone we bring in should be good enough to challenge for a starting place.
Next season will be interesting. Ash hasn't played in the summer before. How will he be affected by no break? | |

Wouldn't mind that Fabian Schar from Switzerland. Look very comfotable at the back and ate up crosses all day, doesn't look bad in the opposite box either. Playing for a struggling German side last year so probably wouldn't need to break the bank. | | | |
